About Chornobyl Liquidators:
On April 26, 1986, the largest nuclear disaster in human history occurred. As a result of the explosion and destruction of reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a massive amount of radioactive isotopes were released into the atmosphere. Squads of liquidators were sent out to combat this invisible and deadly enemy. They were not heroes, yet they were called upon to perform heroic deeds. Many of them paid with their own health, and even their lives...

"just gonna be blowing through guys" - Drae 2024
I prefer the full quote "I'm just gonna be blowing through guys and that's intended" - Drae 2024
Pause lol 😆
One of the 1st comments I came to find💀💀
15:49 that brightness you see there actually comes from the reactor itself, exposure to this level of radiation is fatal within 30 seconds.
Some would estimate that the radiation would be like 90 sv/per minute. And considering how the air was glowing and the radiation around say the demon core would be like lethal in a few seconds and the demon core is not even close to the ammount of radiation a FULL ON exposed nuclear reactor with over 100 tons of Uranium in it.
I maybe wrong but if you stood there and looked down at the freshly glowing blue core... You'd be getting a lethal level of radiation in around 1-2 seconds (as 160 roentgens in a short time was lethal to 50% of people, if I remember)
(Fact check me in case this comment is wrong cause I am probobly wrong on at least like 1 thing)
@@lboyadgiev8820they show it pretty accurately in the chyrnobol show on Netflix. Two guys look down and die before they can walk back out.
@@lboyadgiev8820highest measured level is 300 sieverts per hour which is fatal in 1.6 minutes
@@lboyadgiev8820 highest recorded level of radiation was 300 sieverts per hour the NRC says that 3-5 sieverts received or a very short period is fatal
@Theaythen Recorded yes.
But no one knows the room with the core
While the air was still glowing.
I did see some estimates say the radiation is 90 Sv per minute.
There are no conformed numbers as no one went into the reactor hall.
I just checked the Wikipedia page titled "Deaths due to the Chernobyl disaster"
Yes, you are playing as "real" liquidators, with where they fought. The first guy's real name is Vladimir Ivanovych Tishura, the second is Nikolai Ivanovych Titenok. So they've changed some names slightly but you can go to that page and see more details. The dates of death are also off by a day or two, so I'm assuming they either couldn't, or didn't have, permission to use exact information, but... Credit for honoring them like this.
Edit: The first scientist, Sitnikov, is also a real person. The assistant there isn't, but I'm assuming the name stands in for someone else who isn't listed on the USSR official roster.
They didn't change names. Nikolai is a Russian pronounciasion and Mykola is an Ukrainian of the same name. Back then in the Ukrainian SSR both languages could be used in documents.
@@1kvolt1978 Thanks for the clarification. I assumed that it might be something like that given just how similar the names were.
The assistant is also a real person, according to wikipedia, Vladimir A. Chugunov was the Reactor stop 1 duty director. He received "Radiation burn on right side, right hand, received a potentially lethal radiation dose during post-accident site survey suffering from ARS of the 3rd degree." Doesn't say if he survived or not though, but I found him in a wikipedia article about individual involvement in the disaster.
If I’m not mistaken the scientist in the game also denied the explosion
20:28 check out the slide on the roof😂
Hi Drae, I hope you get the chance to read this, I just wanted to say thank you for putting a smile on so many people’s faces every day.
I was recently diagnosed with cancer and am going through chemotherapy which has been such a hard time, but your videos provide me with laughter and an escape. So thank you!
Goodluck with your recovery buddy
God and our prayers are with you. I pray for your swift recovery.❤
Senior firefighter SVPCH-6 Senior Sergeant Tishura Vladimir Ivanovich was born in 1959 at the station North Gatchinsky district of the Leningrad region. In 1974 he graduated from the shipbuilding school, 1977 Khabarovsk MPTU-30. From July 1977 to April 1978 he worked as a plumber of a military unit in Petropavlovsk. From 1978 to May 1980 he served in the Soviet Army as the squad leader. After being transferred to the reserve from June 1980 to June 1981, he was a locksmith at the Chernobyl Inter-District Production Administration of the gas economy. In the direction of this team in December 1982 he became a firefighter then a senior firefighter of the UHF-6. He was fond of motor sports, was a first-rate student. Thoroughly versed in motorcycles. He participated in extinguishing the damaged active side of the reactor. He fought with fire purposefully, boldly in unison with his fighting colleagues. And only after the arrival of additional fire protection forces was withdrawn from combat crew. In Moscow, at the 6th outpatient clinic, he was in a sterile ward, which was quartz several times a day. On the eighth floor - in the same place as all the firefighters who died due to acute radiation sickness. In this plaintive list, Vladimir Tishura was destined to be the first.
Quartz???
I remember when this happened, i live in Finland so quite close to the accident site. At first Soviet officials lied that nothing out of ordinary had happened, it took several days before they admitted that there had been a major accident and by then the radiation and radioactive particles had spread all over Europe. It was so scary...
HBO has a series called Chernobyl that does a brilliant job of showing the story of the reactor operators, their higher ups, and the firefighters that responded to the disaster that none of them knew or believed happened
That show was amazing.
It's not the most accurate representation from what I've heard.
"Not great, not terrible."
I think the physics were weird In the elevator because There were ladders right below your feet.😂😂
The people that you played and died are absolutely real people that did die from Chernobyl (though they didn't die on site, but in hospital) only the spelling of the names have been slightly changed and the pics were pulled from Wikipedia.
Yeah there was different place and date of death written after they "died".
Yeah I don't think it's because they died. They were swapped out pretty quickly in an attempt to prevent them from dying, although many of them still did. Though I find it kinda weird that it says they die in the future, even though they seem very much dead on the floor already.
I'm from Ukraine and I'm living close to this city where this happened and this is named Pripyat, not in Chernobyl It is the city that is near the place where this happened I'm talking about Chernobyl y'all can also seeing this in Google maps
The spelling of names in this game were converted to Ukrainian naming conventions. Back in 1986, Russian naming conventions were common. For example, Russian "Nikolai" corresponds to Ukrainian "Mykola".
@@user-wm6fo4fr1qthat’s just a lie…
Man, that radiation has sure over welcomed its stay.
Damn I’ve been really waiting two years for a part 2😂 FINALLY
This is a part 2?!
Maybe we will get another part for WW2 bunker simulator now 🤔
The final game plays and looks so much worse compared to the demo. Devs f@ck up completely what they started.
Chernobyl was such a horrible thing
Not just for all the lives lost and physical damage done
But it also caused Nuclear Power to get a horrible reputation despite it being one of the most efficient energy in terms of power produced vs waste material/pollution (I believe wind power and hydro power surpass it, but they don't work at nearly the scale that nuclear does)
So many corners were cut with Chernobyls reactor. Most safety features were cut out. And even when it first started leaking, they were told by their bosses to just ignore it
what is even more screwed up is that there are still 7 reactors of this same design, albeit they've been "updated", and they will continue to operate and the very latest to the 2030's. They also had as many as 15 operating in 2000 which was when they started shutting down reactors.

"I'm just gonna be blowing through guys" - Drae 2024
I had to pause and then come to the comments.
Waiting for drae to heart this one.
Damn it's been 2 years already waiting since drae upload this game demo. Time sure do fly quickly
I love the positioning of that slide at the last cutscene :D
Make this a series!! Its so interesting!!
Omg, I remembered when you played through the demo of this. It’s was SOOO good. I was so sad when it finished.
6:29 "Dude, that's so depressing. I'm just going to be blowing through guys, and that's intended..."
Drae, I'm sure you have clinched your role as a RUclipsr; I don't think you'll have to go that route so long as your nose is clean and you keep making content. 👍👍
I searched up the name at 11:04, which is actually a firefighter who responded to the Chernobyl disaster. Only difference is his name isn’t Mykola Ivanovich, but Mykola Tytenok.
The game lists a last name of "Titenok", and Ivanovich is the patronyaic so presumably his father's name was Ivan. Not sure why the spelling of the last name changed, probably a translation quirk or error.
@@Kalleion "Titenok" is the Ukrainian translation of "Титенок", with him having been born in the Ukrainian SSR.
Omg i remember you playing the demo i was hooked, love to see it finally done
Thanks man i really appreciate it!
OMGG!! When you said you hearing something beeping… and a car outside horned by as well!! xD It was weird for a bit 😂
All the people who Drae played as seem to be based off of real people, so here is a List of them:
The first liquidator was called Tishura Volodymyr Ivanovich in game, who was likely based off of Tishura Vladimir Ivanovych, who was the first firefighter to collapse and 2 weeks later die on the 10th of may in a Hospital in Moscow from Stage 4 Acute Radiation Sickness and "Skin and Intestinal Injuries", being posthumously awarded the "Hero of Ukraine on awarding the Order of the Gold Star" in 2006
The second Liquidator Drae played as, called Titenok Mykola Ivanovich in game, who was likely based off of Titenok Nikolai Ivanovych (as a different commentor has been told, Nikolai was the Russian Version of Mykola), who was the second Fireman in his Squad to collapse and was the last Liquidator who Died from ARS on the 16th of May in a Hospital in Moscow (other injuries being external and internal radiation burns, blistered heart and intestinal damage), he was also awarded the "Hero of Ukraine on awarding the Order of the Gold Star" posthumously in 2006
The third Liquidator Drae played as called Ignatenko Vasil Ivanovich in game, who was likely based off of Ignatenko Vasily Ivanovych, who carried the two previous firemen down fom the roof where they collapsed and died from ARS stage 4 along with Skin and Intestinal Injuries on the 13th of May in a Hospital in Moscow, presumabely also receiving the "Hero of Ukraine on awarding the Order of the Gold Star" posthumously in 2006, but the date was not listed on Wikipedia
The foruth and last Liquidator Drae played as who died was called Vaschchuk Mykola Vasilyovich in game, likely being based on Vashchuk Nikolai Vasilievich, who died on the 14th of May in a Hospital in Moscow from ARS 4th degree as well as combined Skin and Intestinal Injuries and was also awarded the "Hero of Ukraine on awarding the Order of the Gold Star" posthumously in 2006
Finally this series continue
"I'm just going to be blowing through guys but I guess that's intended..."
Are we doing phrasing?
Sow excited for this. It's been in a recess of my mind for years
I remember when this first came out as a demo and im glad to see it again
16:12 It makes perfect sense. It's just that if you ever survive that job, you'll be never making any kids anymore.
The demo of this game is what made me subscribe to your channel.
i love the vids drae
I felt that first shot in the beginning! 😮😂
Just checked Mykola Titenok, and at least in his case, he was an actual firefighter who did die at Chernobyl on May 16, 1986. Hopefully the families of those used in this game got compensated for the use of the names.
Seeing Drae pick up with shovel a piece of graphite from the control rods. Oh no
Love you Drae been watching since your first besiege vids
16:12 3 broken legs... It does make sense, and wow, super ouch!
Find the room with noise, literally just put away his Geiger counter which makes noise when around radiation.
Wow, it's been quite a while since I last saw this game. I totally forgot the original was just a demo. Nice to see it was finally finished.
As to your question about bird symbolism, it relates to a folklore fable from just before the disaster. It's called the Black Bird of Chernobyl, something workers reported supposedly seeing in the days leading up to the disaster. It was a black humanoid-avian creature, that meant a great catastrophe would soon appear. It's sort of similar to the legend of Moth Man. Unfortunately the majority of people who reported it have since died from radiation poisoning, so very few first accounts exist.
finally its out!! I remember the demo
drae please continue this series, since I did enjoy watching this game.
At like 20:45 when he meets scientist, what is with the slide off the roof lmfao
The bird references you keep seeing they are picking up on dangers we cannot see or detect
This was insane !
Wow, you said 2 years ago, How long have I been following your channel for then?
Drae: "I'm just going to be blowing through guys" PHRASING
Very cool!
Man out here giving Chernobyl mega disaster PTSD 😂. Classic Drae
Man, spoiler alert would have been nice. I didn’t know what happened to Chernobyl. I’m not that far in the game of life yet :(
But in all seriousness. Great video :)
Apparently with radiation poisoning / sickness, once the vomiting begins, it's already far too late.
I rememberr when you played r
that demo feels like forever
Anyone see the slide on the roof of tha partmentbuilding, at approx 20:30 ? Seems very safe indeed!
Drae trying to grab every piece of graphite he sees 💀
I would like to see a pt. 2
Gotta say its kinda creepy how spot om the site looks.
21:15 in the video what up with the Slide on the roof in the background
Drae:OMG he literally just coughed up a lung
Me:No, He's literally coughing up his whole insides that are being turned to soup by the radiation. LOL
Drae should check out, "What the car"
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this video released, I completely forgot about this game.
Hello bots, and more importantly, HI DRAE!! 👋
Hi
But I am not a bot :(
@@masonmcgugan7392 sorry ❤️
Beep boop beep
@@masonmcgugan7392 Yeah, sure. All bots say this all the time.
Bro be shoveling graphite (which is the nuclear fuel of the reactor) like it’s a simple fire and cleaning operation💀💀💀
14:00 drae that’s actually a really famous firefighter from Chernobyl and his name is probably said vasily
Will Drae ever play occupied Mars again?
I had fun watching him play but he just stopped.
Will you even return to construction simulator?
i havent seen any thing on this game since the demo dropped and i play it
i remember the demo
Yay, I love this game
I remember you playing the demo
Fishing planet pleaseee😢
Was this supposed to just be a historical depiction? This game is wild.
21:22 Im just concerned that there's a slide on the roof back there
Next up, Being a first responder to the Beirut harbor explosion - Lebanese Disaster VR
Nice
Why did their shadows not disappear in the intro
tbh just standing next to it would kill you in like 10 minutes
That's a lot of agility to be wearing a rubber suit.
MOREEEEEEEEEEEE
Let’s go earliest I’ve been in awhile
Did he say he's blowing through guys?
I was watching a walkthrough of the same game
Would be nice to get the keys to all these doors bruh
The most disturbing human disaster their ever was
Hahaha lmfao blowing thru guys lol
Someone make a snippet of drae at 6:31 😂 thank me after lmao
I find it a little odd that you pick up medicine and stuff in your inventory, but the game is making you die so it fits the real story, so what is the use of your inventory and all the items you pick up?
was it just me or was the game volume way to low? barely could hear them talking in the end without having you way too loud
OH MY GOD ITS FINALLY BBBAAAACCCKKKK!!!!
Drea. i think im near a hospital, hmm this is a nuclear reactor site Drea LOL
6:31 "I'll be blowing thru guys" Drae you don't need to tell us what you do in your personal time just stick talking about the game 😁
6:31 well..
the dangers on nuclear
the cat :(
Not great, not terrible.
Chornobyl?
6:25 that's what she said 😂
Dude what about the med kits. Your killing me smalls is what your firefighters are saying.
It's not a true Russian game without vodka!
I'm from Ukraine and I'm living close to this city where this happened and this is named Pripyat, not Chernobyl It is the city that is near the place where this happened
If this game is based of of real families and there stories, I wonder what happened to the last guys family (the one with the dead wife and old fling ) anr by the insane chance one of his descendants see this ,hi
6:30 "I'm just gonna be blowin through guys" lol damn, Drae. You don't gotta go that hard for Pride month.
Hi drae
