8:40 She suffers from Tourette's and she has to cope with ticks while performing, hence those facial and aural contortions that she's developed on her own ever since she started singing in a children's choir at age 8. There are several youtube videos about Tourette's and how performers cope with them. It's a lot more nuanced than your standard vocal coach advice.
