Yeah it even had all the classical tropes. Dumb Characters acting stupid, motivations dont ad up, the entity beeing completely inconsistent and even a Priest who has superpowers and can somehow feel the Spirit... because: reasons. Would be a great Horrormovie
The ad format is perfect. I like listening to these as I fall asleep, and it is so frustrating to just start nodding off and getting jolted awake by a loud ad. Having them at the beginning is perfect
I just told someone regardless of content overlap amongst the entire horror community, it's these random stories you get in between that are super long, in‐depth, rare and exclusive stories that are so good I still think about them and wish to dig them up for another listen.

But I found myself actually having to remind myself to unclench my jaw, uncurl my toes, and just breathe. By the end, I spent a few minutes in silence just reeling. Then I fell into oblivion after the adrenaline dump wore off. Not many times in my life have I experienced that feeling. I've actually saved this video and will listen to it many more times in sure!

Nope, you are not alone. I'm totally with you. I am Catholic, but I find the entities oddly pathetic. They never seem to be able to do anything that I would consider really dangerous. Like they throw potatoes/shoes, turn photo's around, for me the worst is the sacriligious act of beheading a holy statuette etc.

You're talking about a pure evil entity created by Lucifer himself. The only other arch angel to rival the power of Lucifer was Micheal, the right hand of God. It wasn't a ghost. NO ghost has THAT kind of power because no matter how twisted and evil a man/woman is, they are still mortal. Last story was fascinating, and appears (to me, at least, initially) to be a classic poltergeist case centered around OP, but then later takes on symptoms of a demon. All the signs were there - things tend to only happen when not observed, it follows them no matter where they go, there were no signs of possession/obsession (at least until later), no one is seriously harmed (until later - though note that it failed to kill Lee), it listens to the focus, and the focus is inexplicably unafraid while everyone else is terrified. The only thing that's missing is a clear reason for the poltergeist, usually they manifest as a result of some kind of repressed emotion made external (though it can easily become self-reinforcing since it is, itself, a source of distress). As for why the Warrens could attempt to exorcise it, poltergeists (and most demons, for that matter) are highly subject to what is essentially placebo. Some parapsychologists think the placebo effect, as well as psychogenic/psychosomatic illness, might be an internal form of poltergeist. However, it's very curious that Bill became possessed by it. Maybe an intersection of poltergeists, egregores, and religious beliefs? Or the original poltergeist attracted/merged with a real demon? It provided a story, but one which is fundamentally unverifiable, and the Conjuring Philip experiments demonstrate that at least some supposed spirits can adopt provably false backstories and communicate them to people who don't know. Note also, the entity was eventually ousted by OP telling it to leave, suggesting they were always the one allowing it to stay there, not Bill. As for what they actually are, parapsychologists are divided. I will add, concerning the last story. Bill Sr "subconsciously" invited the "entity" then relocate Bill Sr. IF he can't call that house "home," the entity spiritually CAN'T stay thus allowing the "entity" to be "banished." It's not as simple as "making him move out." You'd have to spiritually "cut ties" with him. Even a "prince of hell" has no power over mankind so long as mankind gives no power to a demon. It's most definitely NOT easy! Another option would be to "spiritually cleanse" Bill Sr. NO DEMON has the authority to attack mankind without permission! 🫳🎤🤷♂️

Wonderful video, Mort, thank you! The Moffitt account had me well and truly captivated. It was, first and foremost, a fascinating insight into this family's oppression by "Mr Entity", but it was also very well written and laid out. It raises questions for me along the lines of how past lives and reincarnation accord with Christian religion... From my understanding, literal demons are only brought into being through Christianity, so if something is "demonic" it necessarily has its origins in the Christian faith's version of events. How, then, can a demon follow someone through multiple lives? Still, regardless of all that philosophical stuff, your narration was brilliant, as usual. xxx
Islam has the concept of demons too, with their own ideas of what signs demons leave and what prayers to use against them. In my opinion, demons are simply malevolent spirits/entities, and they don't come from any religion, they just exploit people's beliefs in what evil is to frighten them. Likewise, no religion has an exclusive ability to dispel them, it just takes true belief that you can. So whether reincarnation is true or not doesn't matter to them either, they'll hang around doing their evil thing regardless. (I personally do believe in reincarnation, but my evidence isn't really strong and it's convenient for me, so it's not like I'm sure enough to be certain of it or try to convince others.)
I listen to so many of these channels, and this video had the best story I have ever heard by far. Not just the content, but the delivery too. Well done! I hope to listen to more just like this in the near future.

Ed and Laurene Warren are worth listening to. They really care about people, want to find the truth and have genuine belief. They aren’t looking for attention. They want to make people aware of danger. I was in college and attended a lecture where Ed led the lecture and Laurene would chime in and support his statements with more info. It could have been any lecture about any other subject because of the serious and straightforward way of presenting the material. It was surreal how matter of fact they spoke about things other people took as exaggerating, lies or mental illness. It was quiet an experience. I believe in these two because of their sincere and skeptical way they approached the supernatural. Thank you for sharing this story.

Honestly, based on Bill Sr.'s completely unconcerned attitude about a demon trying to kill his wife, that plot twist was completely unsurprising. When you're already dealing with a malevolent spirit, why keep someone like him around all that time anyway? I've got enough rotten wood in my family tree to not give a darn about toxic people like that. My Mom and my sister are the worst I'll put up with, my sister only barely, and only as long as she plays nice and doesn't go too far. And Mom had best not expect to hold dominion forever. If I turn out to be right about the future (I'm a paranoid prepper, and while she's prepping a little she refuses to do or get 95% of what I think we need.), she'd best let me take the lead. Last story was fascinating, and appears (to me, at least, initially) to be a classic poltergeist case centered around OP, but then later takes on symptoms of a demon. All the signs were there - things tend to only happen when not observed, it follows them no matter where they go, there were no signs of possession/obsession (at least until later), no one is seriously harmed (until later - though note that it failed to kill Lee), it listens to the focus, and the focus is inexplicably unafraid while everyone else is terrified. The only thing that's missing is a clear reason for the poltergeist, usually they manifest as a result of some kind of repressed emotion made external (though it can easily become self-reinforcing since it is, itself, a source of distress). As for why the Warrens could attempt to exorcise it, poltergeists (and most demons, for that matter) are highly subject to what is essentially placebo. Some parapsychologists think the placebo effect, as well as psychogenic/psychosomatic illness, might be an internal form of poltergeist. However, it's very curious that Bill became possessed by it. Maybe an intersection of poltergeists, egregores, and religious beliefs? Or the original poltergeist attracted/merged with a real demon? It provided a story, but one which is fundamentally unverifiable, and the Conjuring Philip experiments demonstrate that at least some supposed spirits can adopt provably false backstories and communicate them to people who don't know. Note also, the entity was eventually ousted by OP telling it to leave, suggesting they were always the one allowing it to stay there, not Bill.
As for what they actually are, parapsychologists are divided. Some think it's just latent psi, while others point to its occasional tendency to appear to have a personality and think it might be spirits. My guess is it's something bizarre in between, not quite a distinct entity but not quite latent psi. Not an egregore, not a demon, not subconscious psychic happenings, more like humans naturally have a kind of non-pathological MPD and new spirits can bud off one's "soul" and gain power independent of where they came from.
If you ever get a poltergeist case, one of the fastest ways to get rid of it seems to be documentation. Find as many scientists as you can and get them to record EVERYTHING. For some reason, the more documentation and the better the quality, the less these phenomena can manifest. However, you may end up a pariah in the local news as a result because it tends to unmanifest in ways that make it look like deliberate fraud (but on very, very close inspection cannot be). Think the end of Contact, the video feed is all static but the public isn't told that it's 20 hours of static which took place in 5 seconds. Once it dies down, it tends to stay down, but I think there are cases where it re-emerges.
I grew up in a haunted house and have had some terrifying expirences there. When I moved out for college, the paranormal experiences got worse and eventually everything came to a head. I will add, concerning the last story. Bill Sr "subconsciously" invited the "entity" then relocate Bill Sr. IF he can't call that house "home," the entity spiritually CAN'T stay thus allowing the "entity" to be "banished." It's not as simple as "making him move out." You'd have to spiritually "cut ties" with him. Even a "prince of hell" has no power over mankind so long as mankind gives no power to a demon. It's most definitely NOT easy!
Another option would be to "spiritually cleanse" Bill Sr. NO DEMON has the authority to attack mankind without permission! 🫳🎤🤷♂️

Wonderful video, Mort, thank you! The Moffitt account had me well and truly captivated. It was, first and foremost, a fascinating insight into this family's oppression by "Mr Entity", but it was also very well written and laid out. It raises questions for me along the lines of how past lives and reincarnation accord with Christian religion... From my understanding, literal demons are only brought into being through Christianity, so if something is "demonic" it necessarily has its origins in the Christian faith's version of events. How, then, can a demon follow someone through multiple lives? Still, regardless of all that philosophical stuff, your narration was brilliant, as usual. xxx
Islam has the concept of demons too, with their own ideas of what signs demons leave and what prayers to use against them. In my opinion, demons are simply malevolent spirits/entities, and they don't come from any religion, they just exploit people's beliefs in what evil is to frighten them. Likewise, no religion has an exclusive ability to dispel them, it just takes true belief that you can. So whether reincarnation is true or not doesn't matter to them either, they'll hang around doing their evil thing regardless. (I personally do believe in reincarnation, but my evidence isn't really strong and it's convenient for me, so it's not like I'm sure enough to be certain of it or try to convince others.)
I listen to so many of these channels, and this video had the best story I have ever heard by far. Not just the content, but the delivery too. Well done! I hope to listen to more just like this in the near future.

Ed and Laurene Warren are worth listening to. They really care about people, want to find the truth and have genuine belief. They aren’t looking for attention. They want to make people aware of danger. I was in college and attended a lecture where Ed led the lecture and Laurene would chime in and support his statements with more info. It could have been any lecture about any other subject because of the serious and straightforward way of presenting the material. It was surreal how matter of fact they spoke about things other people took as exaggerating, lies or mental illness. It was quiet an experience. I believe in these two because of their sincere and skeptical way they approached the supernatural. Thank you for sharing this story.

From watching/listening to SO many of these,I've developed my own sort of way of telling whether they are made up or not, and this rings disturbingly true. Honestly, based on Bill Sr.'s completely unconcerned attitude about a demon trying to kill his wife, that plot twist was completely unsurprising. When you're already dealing with a malevolent spirit, why keep someone like him around all that time anyway? I've got enough rotten wood in my family tree to not give a darn about toxic people like that. My Mom and my sister are the worst I'll put up with, my sister only barely, and only as long as she plays nice and doesn't go too far. And Mom had best not expect to hold dominion forever. If I turn out to be right about the future (I'm a paranoid prepper, and while she's prepping a little she refuses to do or get 95% of what I think we need.), she'd best let me take the lead. I'll let her keep it if I'm wrong. The family being in good hands matters more than my ego.
