WELCOME TO BIG OGGIE GOLF, THE HOME OF THE BIG OGGIE BUCCANEERS AND THE BIG OGGIE CREW.
I am a newbie golfer, 54 Years old and lets say, hmm a BIG lad... But that doesn't stop me, I have a passion for the sport and although I have lots to learn I want to prove to people that Golf can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age, size, shape or experience.
BIG OGGIE GOLF is my growing channel dedicated to ALL golfers.
WE ARE BUILDING A GREAT COMMUNITY ACROSS THE SOUTH WEST UK AND BEYOND.
We can't all be professional or scratch standard and many of us will never get close, but we can still have FUN.
So there will be regular Vlogs, Product reviews and Golf Course reviews from around the UK as well as Worldwide.
We will meet many golfers and golf fans along the way and I hope you will get to see things a little differently from the usual Golf RUclips Channels out there.
There will also be lots of fun to be had and once the channel is established regular Competitions for Channel subscribers to take part in.
Golf sometimes gets a bad press and whilst occasionally that might be justified I hope to show it as not quite as stuffy and stereotyped as one would imagine.
There will also be my thoughts on what makes golf seem so stressful for people just starting out, and I will be looking at ways of making that all important first step a little easier.

I have been using these since the end of lockdown. My opinion..... A top notch product. After snapping the first couple when driving , the rest have proven very resilient.
With a full variety of shapes and sizes together with a mixed box they are recommended🏌️⛳🇬🇧👍

Hi darren the castle tee they make is only in one size which equivalent to the pink castle tee but if that’s what you use them that’s perfect

Played 18 this morning , used the same pink plastic castle for the whole round. While I accept that we all can lose the odd tee l don't accept that golf tees have had a major effect on the ruination of the planet. If your friend is losing lots of tees per round wooden or bamboo could be the way to go. I don't see many plastic tees laying around on Rhondda Golf Club perhaps we all value a buck too much. Another thought provoking video John.
Hi Mel, we did this video because my hole club of West Cornwall has gone down the no plastic tee route as has a number of courses here in the south west. Rumour has it that the R&A will be announcing a full scale no plastic tees rule by the end of the year.
Hi John. I have bought these and really like them. I've got the castle which are great and the short straight tees which are ok. I have broken a few short tees but the castles are bearing up well. I have gone back to the plastic red and blue castle as I can't seem to get the tee height right. Overall they are good and not expensive either.
I think for people like you and I my friend who have always used castle tees it will take some getting used to to use Normal style tees but unless someone brings out the other sizes then we will have to adjust I guess x
I've been moving over to wooden tees only this last year, I'll definitely give these a try when I next buy some.👍
They are certainly worth a go my friend x I may have some spare here from mine if you wish x
I haven't used plastic for a couple of decades. I buy bulk in wood. When I long onbe breaks it becomes a par 3 tee.

Bought a box of mixed bamboo tees from a company called green swing can't wait to try them out. 😎
I think Badger has found those as well abs say they are really good.
John, enjoy your channel and luv the courses in the south west. Just a suggestion to speed up your golf development- have a session with Marcus at zen golf- his teaching methods are unconventional but appear to be revolutionary. I would be very interested in the results as you are a relative newcomer and at times I feel your frustration as golf is not fun when you're playing badly
Hi there Allen I will take a look at Zen golf and see what’s it’s like. I am filming on Monday with one of our new pros on the channel Emma Brown from The Kendleshire in Bristol so she might well have some ideas for me too.

If people send us stuff we tell you about it. And if I buy stuff and want to give an opinion I will tell you about that as well. We are totally open here. Also this coincided with my home club going plastic free, which is something that will happen very soon all over the UK so rumour has it. It’s the nature of RUclips that sometimes people send stuff to people with channels. I just prefer to tell you all if they do.
