Just found this: funny, funny jewel of a comic! Saw her live-it’s a treasured memory. Deserves every accolade.

Funniest woman who ever lived, I'd love to tell jokes like her, my favorite comedian next to Lucy

An brief insight into the comic craft of Phyllis Diller (July 17 1917 - August 20 2012), bless her soul :- “I will regret my death; I know that” and she laughs before nailing the landing. “I know I’m going to miss me.”

She was such a natural. I idolized her as a comic.

I almost prefer the fact that she is a little less swift in her delivery setup here. It's got a more adlib vibe which adds even more to the usual Diller experience.

I like her reflective portions. I feel like I got to know her better. At bit surprised at her mean humor towards others (Carter, Tammy Faye, etc.). In her early days, she, her imaginary husband, or sister in law were the targets. This felt more mean spirited.

In today’s social climate I wonder how many would cancel Phyllis Diller over her social commentary?

wow she is not right in this recording ... usually so quick and funny. Not here. Poor gal !

She was 75 years old when this aired and she was about 95 when she died.
You get a little slower when you get older, touring around takes a lot out of you too.

I'd pay hard earned cash just to watch her prepare for a show. Slow, young, old and fast.....its all relative to listening to an icon like her.
