Not sure if Ashtyn and Jon were aware, but Florence wrote this song about her drowning under water, and accepting whatever she was going through, but not letting go of her life to the ocean.
Florence also doesn’t perform this song anymore, because it’s really close to her heart.

By the way I just added links to the two Ashtyn&Jon reaction videos you had them do for Florence + The Machine within the comment section of the one I had them do for me just in case anyone was interested in seeing more of them. :)

Wasn't this also inspired by someone drowning herself after her lover died? I might remember wrong.

@@jukkalepparanta2463 If so then this is first time I've heard that, interesting context if true.

@@jukkalepparanta2463 Not sure on this song, but " What The Water Gave Me " is inspired by Virginia Woolf who drowned herself by putting stones in her pockets.

I read that Florence's grandmother commited suicide by drowning water represents peace when you go under theres just peace and silence think her grandmother found peace and so did florence coming to terms with her loss it's a beautiful and heartbreakingly beautiful she wrote this song for her as she really loved her

Florence's 'Don't Call Me a Liar' from Dragon Age 2 was a highlight of that game much like her version of 'Stand By Me' brought a lot of life and emotion into FFXV. She is just a great singer and I don't think I have heard a single song she has done that I didn't like, not just with her songs but even with her doing cover versions of other songs.
