Today we're doing a prologue video for a new series, featuring my oldest Legacy Save that I started way back with the launch of the Beyond Update. The save will feature a lot of base building, as we update this saves bases to add in the new base parts while still having access to the old legacy base parts.
Today we will be doing a base tour of sorts as we visit this save's old bases and delete them. We discuss the base part limit as the main reason for this purge as we travel from each teleporter on the local space station to the next base terminus. We have to find the base computer at each site and choose to delete base, so we don't get through all of this save's old bases, but we get rid of a a huge swath of them, only saving bases marking a galactic portal or various player civilizations.

New season, new memories. You don't have to delete them all, some you keep. I have my "old" Nitrogen, Silphurine, and Radon system with mining bases; I'm keeping those.
I'll be keeping some, but I think the only valuable thing this save mines is oxygen. The other gases are only used in crafting and frigate missions hand out those products like candy on Halloween. If the base looks cool I'll keep it regardless, but there's no reason to use base parts on dozens/hundreds of storage silos for materials I'll never use.
If you ever decide you want those resources just drop a base cache and they'll be in there. Old tech but still works :D
Yeah, already grabbed it from the cache at the base we ended at... it was old enough to have one! lol
