You would need a pp of over 800mm to penetrate a canadian Leopard 1 (Leopard C2) from the front. The Metis-M though, penetrates over 1000mm RHAe, and the Kornet-D even over 1300mm RHAe. This should be enough to kill any tank in the world from the side or behind. The RPG-28 penetrates 1000mm RHAe with a tandem warhead, this wouldn't be enough to kill a Leopard 2A5. (1290mm RHAe + reactive armor). RPG-29 penetrates just 750mm+ & RPG-30 just 650mm+. The Leclerc is pretty good armored, 870mm RHAe against APFSDS, just a bit less than Challenger 2, M1A2, Leopard 2A6 & T-90A. 1700mm RHAe against HEAT warheads, that is better than M1A2, T-90 & Challenger 2.
It did actually, 3 UAE Leclerc survived direct hit from Konkurs ATGM used by the Houthis during their deployment in Yemen. The 3 tanks were able to fight again after repair

The gun is not a licenced L/44, the CN120-26 is totally different, it's a derivative from the CN120-25, which is also totally different. The L/44 is 44 calibers long and has bore evacuator, the CN120-26 is 52 calibers long has no bore evacuator. A German powerpack can be added, the UAE army has MTU 883 Ka 500 engine with a GPU, and a Renk HSWL 295 TM transmission instead of French hyperbar engine and SESM ESM500 transmission.
