- The First Descendant Devs released a new Dev Talk that showed gameplay of the three unreleased descendants: Esimo, Enzo, and Yujin. They also hosted a Q&A that revealed a lot of information about battle passes, seasonal cadence, and ultimate descendants.

Huge fan of the "No content behind a paywall", hope its true because if it is i'm gonna be playing this game for a long time
Take it with a grain of salt, go in with an open mind. That statement is good but leaves a lot of room for shady things to still be implemented, for example, content that isn't "behind a paywall" but requires extremely leveled gear that would take many many hours to grind out without purchasing convenience items like inventory expansions and exp boosters.
I hope the game is great aswell, but it's NEXON so I have my doubts :/

Man it's already known they wont, it's Cosmetics & Quality of life items. No pay for power. I'd happily pay for some QoL since it means i get monthly updates of the game for free and the whole base game itself is free. In the end the devs have to eat as well and justify this dev time every month to give us new content.
Yup this will make or break the game.

Well as a dad of 3 i normally don’t have the time like i use to so i normally i will get a premium package for the sake of time and also supporting the game that i already know im gonna be playing for a long time like i have with warframe.
Same I always buy a fair amount of plat during the Christmas sale and then balance it out over the next year for resource boosters etc

Question: i havnt played beta but watching your clips was amazing and super helpfull to pick my main which is Gley what i wonder what happends when Gley groups with a healer or cant she be healed by others with her mechanic
Wait, with the Enzo thing, you can have multiple of the same character and you don't have to choose different ones? I've never played so I had no idea that was the case

Thanks for constant Infos about the game. Maybe it was answered before but i have some questions on multiplayer:
1. Are we always with other players when we enter open world?
2. I play mostly with a friend in 2 player coop. Can we join our own world?
3. Can we do a 2player fireteam or is there a forced matchmaking like in Destiny?
4 What is the max,. number of players for a fireteam?

1. Played the beta and yes always random players in open world, open world activities are separate instances though iirc.
2. If they invite you to a party then yes you can play together.
3. Max is 4 player so you'll have 2 randoms in your squad and they promote 4 player co op for bosses.

My exact thought, minor increases, mostly aesthetic. A lot of stuff we're seeing in TFD is very reminiscent of warframe, in a good way.

Do you know if the battle pass has a time frame to complete it? I never bought one before -thinking about buying one in this game. I don’t want to spend money to lose it. Because I couldn’t complete it in a week.
If they follow the normal behavior for battle pass, it will last for 3 months and then expire and be replaced by the new one.
I play the beta , Does my game progress and characters I unlocked will reset ?
The healer looks fun, I tend to play a warlock in destiny and either a tank or healer in MMOs so that is awesome to see a dedicated healer.
What happened to the girl with the headphones?
Thought she was coming at launch too?
Not sure. But my guess is that she'll be our first new descendant for season 1 or 2.

I'm sure someones asked this (I'm annoyed I have Mandatory Over time this 4 of July & i can't think straight) what are the level caps for weapons, gear & Players. Oh & are there ways to traverse the map besides walking example car, bike, hover board ( if there taking influences from warframe & d2 both have bikes, warframe lets players shoot while riding, d2 doesn't)
Ok, for y'all playing the game, how's the environments? Cause I've been looking at some footage, and it seems just very videogamey arenas.
Like, those grey areas with a few grey constructs and full white background
This one of my negative thing about the game, especially the bosses, those arena like simulator are a downer lol
I hope we get a good environment arena for bosses later down the line, if all of them are those kind of arena simulator im definitely skip this game and just gonna wait for chrono odyssey next year

My one remaining question is, is there an in-game player to player trade system, or could there be in the future?
could be exist in the future if they follow warframe style since there is trading in maplestory (one of nexon game) if im not mistaken

A personal preference but since the stats are minimum increase, adding to the aesthetics a gold shimmer effect on skills when Ultimate Vers. is equipped would be so cool! On the other Hand, it also easily could distract people so ig little hope for that ..

Seems kinda fun. 10-15 hours to get new classes is like 10% of getting a new frame or weapon in Warframe.

For anyone worried about the grind for a new descendent it all depends on how much you play and also that’s about how long it takes to grind for a new warframe depending on who it is if you don’t just buy it out right.
lol no it doesn’t. Most warframes released lately have about a 1 - 3 hour grind max
Sad that there's no support character that recovers mana on launch.
I think more likely "we" will pay for skins to our favourite toons, and not toons itself.

Does the game have cross progression?
No founder packs seems crazy to me. It would be such an easy way to make lots of money right out of the gate and make money before people played and disliked the game. Really makes me think they have huge confidence that they are going to release an amazing game and keep making it better

I was talking her up before the first beta everyone trashing on her. then she became super meta killed the hype for me. i liked her being the high skill descendant. then she just became 1 shot god lol. they did bring her down but her nuke is still wild. at least as of last beta.

I’m assuming it’ll be similar to warframe. When a new ultimate descendant comes out you’ll be able to either grind for it or purchase it

History of scamming their playerbase and being pay to win like in Maple Story where they made it impossibe to gain an item so that people would buy more of it but later it was revealed the % chance to get it and they were sent to court for it and had to pay a fine.
Also making false promises and when they make mistakes they blame their players. They dont care about making fun games and listening to their community, they care only to profit.
So be careful, play and see if they make it p2w or not. This game is their last chance of redeeming themselves so we shall see.

It was clearly stated that future DLC/Content would be free as its a free to play game, similar to how warframe releases its dlc. this is not refering to shop related content or how you can grind/pay for descendants. And no, im not a nexon fan boy, never even played one of their games. Im just actually playing the game before making assumptions.

4 seasons waters it down and stresses out the team unecessarily
Im curious how theyre going to balance casual players with hardcore players. The ones that play 8 hours a day and burn through all the content tend to be the loudest.
