I'm retired from over 50 yrs of selling installation and serviceing heating and air conditioning products and I'm very impressed with this product!! I'm also very impressed with the installation of it you guys can do just about anything ! good old American engineering!!
Best heater on the market. Be sure to keep anti freeze out of your oil. Turn power off in the spring to avoid cooking the oil in pre heater. Need parts or service call Air To Ground in Louisville. Servicing dealer for 20 yrs. Enjoy
I love that you and your family have built your business in a small town, and choose to stay there. Sure, you buy and sell nationwide, but home is still home.
Do you remember when Clint brought a scissors lift to check the gutters? Those 2 shops are a good distance apart. I do agree that it's helpful to have both shops local, so they can help each other 🎉❤😊
Free heating fuel, this is a no brainer when it comes to economics and feasibility . I'm super impressed with the blower motor, footprint and overall operation. Good job guys.
In 1980 when we opened the shop we had one winter with no heat, we used smelt pots like they use in the orange groves. In 1981 we purchased a waste oil heater and since the shop was in the suburbs of Philadelphia we had a lot of business so we had a lot of waste oil. We used to run the shop at 72 and we would get the old fuel oil tanks out of the old houses to store our waste oil. So it’s a proven process that has been around forever people just forget how to trim the fat from their businesses. Great Video Thank You 🙏
Why walk when you got a Wheel Horse? that Big ole Smile on Tuckers face was PRICELESS! The waste oil heater makes perfect Sense, with the amount you Drain off you guys must be inundated with the stuff, so reap the benefits, anyway, Keep having Fun Chaps, the content just keeps getting better I always look forward to a new C&C upload, best wishes to you all from a UK Fan👍😁
Just keep progress thru the day, fixing building growing...so fun on the way!!! Great job... Boss Bubby Mr Tucker & Dad....we can all learn from there actions!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great idea for the new shop and probably a good idea for the old shop also. I love Kevin busting on Tucker for using the lawnmower, he’s just jealous he didn’t call it first. Overall surprised someone didn’t use the forklift or the man lift. Wishing you and your family the best.
Your gonna love that heater .I have the second to the biggest they make in my auto repair shop and it's been there for 8 years now and have absolutely zero problems with it ! The damn thing is almost to efficient I have to 275 gallon tanks that I switch between I have had to have one of the tanks pumped out in the middle of winter because it doesn't burn the fast enough. It's around 11 gallons a day 13 if it's real cold .I'm in pa so it gets nippy
My husband has a waste oil heater for his shop and it also has a duct coming into the house if needed. He works at a major airport and gets all the.waste jet fuel he wants.. Aircraft fuel tanks and fuel trucks are sumped for.water every few days and hundreds of gallons.of jet fuel are purged. The jet fuel (high quality kerosene.oil) works.great in the waste oil heater. :)
Nice installation of the new heating system. May I suggest moving the thermostat to the opposite wall and down ten feet for a more controlled comfort setting. The unit will have less cycles and noise as well.
I worked in a 12 bay auto repair shop and it was heated with a waste oil heater , worked very good only drawback was cleaning the heat ex-changer every year of the ash that developed
We started using waste oil furnaces as soon as they became available over thirty years ago. Only downside is that they are dirty and require more frequent cleaning than a regular oil fired furnace. Get yourself a furnace vacuum right away, you'll need it.
That heater is pretty slick and makes good use of used motor oil while eliminating disposal. Hey, Tucker smiled! He'sa nice looking fellow when there is smile on his face!
That is literally the easiest oil burner install I have ever seen. Nice looking kit. You might want some tether cables or chains from the roof over time for a bit of extra support, but only will tell if they are needed. I've seen a couple similar designs that slowly started to sag forward, not really a big deal. Definitely a lot quieter than any I've worked with.👌 Enjoy the heat, Tucker! 🤙
I’ve worked in several large shops that used waste oil burners but it was years ago. Good clean waste oil helps keep problems to a minimum. I’m sure the design has got better over the years too.
The only person Tucker should ever worry about listening too is his dad, I can't stress enough at how blessed you are to have such a wise dad around, actually!, you're blessed and favored Tucker,😉👍, give thanks and enjoy your envious position,🙏, great video guys, and thanks for sharing.
It's was 17 at 4 am this morning and the weather and Kevin must be connected, great unit works very well great video thanks Clint and Kevin and Tucker and dad
Hasn't even started in. My interest is peaked! We used to have one in a two-bay shop in New York when they originally came out. Extremely efficient and we always had an ample supply of oil to use! They've improved tremendously in zero emissions. Of contaminants is an added bonus!
There was an engineer in my area that processed wood into lumber then to kiln and then into furniture. He heated his house and shop with sawdust and shavings. Shavings hopper was screw fed and thermostat controlled. He had a blower in the combustion chamber so the dust wouldn’t smolder and a fan that dried his lumber. The oil burner is just utilizing a waste product.
Talk about perfect timing, I'll be installing my waste oil heater in a couple of days. I bought a Lanair, it looks just like energy logic. Thanks for all the great videos. Good job guys!
You're right Clint I built one of those homemade heaters way back when also. It was not ecologically friendly on startup but once it got hot you could hardly smell it. Love all your videos keep em coming!
My Dad built a homemade version of that back in the sixties, two 55 gal.barrels lower one a wood burning fire box, upper one a heat exchanger a 5 gal. jerry can dripping oil into fire box and a box fan for air movement.
Clint we put an oil burner in when they first come out with them we learned a lot by trial and error. One day it started rumbling and shaking we was waiting for it to take off through the roof here ya gotta watch that there’s no water in the oil you’re burning
That's a nice looking heater setup. And smart to reuse the oil that "naturally replenishes" itself in the course of your other business. 1. It seems fairly loud. 2. You may have the thermostat sitting too close to the unit. Mount it further away from the heater so the whole place heats up before it shuts itself off when temperature is reached.
i mean, the oils been produced for use in an engine or whatever, its been used served its purpose and now its being used as heating fluid so id say it was greener than just chucking it away and burning something new
You know I'm not trying to be mean or anything but watching sausage fingers , and Tucker working on that heater reminds me of a story my dad once told me about him two monkeys and a football. And I'm glad you guys keep putting out these videos cuz these are great. I love them with my morning coffee, and I love to watch people work together to make stuff work. Keep up the great work. Merry Christmas to all of you!
Ran one of those for over 20yrs. Fasten that copper burner tubing and convert the last couple feet with hydraulic hose. One thing you will need to do often is clean the nozzle. Easy to do without taking everything apart if you got a flex hose. Pull plug undo 4 burner bolts, swing burner open clean nozzle. Re install. Clean fuel pre heater every year with new gaskets. Can leak.
Great purchase we had two at a shop that had 8 pick-up trucks and 8 semis and we ran out of oil .We put a guard with a lock on the thermostat and never ran out of oil again
I used to work for a fork lift co. they would save their used oil.and also down the street was a truck service co. they would get their used oil and burn it in the winter
I built a burnt lube heater probably in the middle 90s still use it today. Now it is homemade, it does take a shot of propane from a little 5 gallon jug that last all winter to get the thing started to heat up And the burnt lube tank is pressurized with about 60 pounds of air pressure to inject it, and once that thing gets to rolling it will heat my 60 x 100 shop by itself. I did put some duct work in and have three vents coming out down the middle of the shop to help spread the heat around. I think when I built it I just built it out of scrap parts I had around the only thing I had to purchase was a few nozzles for the propane injection and that's about it May have had about 50 bucks in it
We had a Clean Burn heater in the Quick Lube that I ran for several years and we would burn the engine oil, automatic transmission fluid, and power steering fliud that we drained out of the vehicle's so we had a great supply. The heater worked great the only thing was that at the end of every season we had to clean out the burner inside the heater and clean the nozzel on the burner so it would spray right otherwise we would start to have problem's with it also change filter's. We had two 1,000 gallon tanks that the tech's walked on in the basement below the vehicle's.
I know a person who used a oil furnace like that to heat his garage and offices he went and ran sheet metal ductwork all over the place along with his outdoor wood furnace and the place stayed pretty warm during the winter and je also let other people disposable of their waste oil at his place
That looks like a nice shop. And you get to do it with your son, lucky man Clint. All the hard work cleaning it up will make him keep it that way and appreciate it. Good young man.
That heater is far better than the one i had in the garage...As you say they werent enviromental friendly....lol.....Building is looking awesome now....Stay safe you all and see you soon
And Tucker needs heat? Needs to step up the pace!!😂😂 Tucker it’s time to go on strike or talk to the HR department 😉 Great video, Sunday bonus for sure!! Have a great week🤗🇺🇸
I lived next door to a car dealership for a few years and they heated with one of these (maybe not make/model.. but used the same fuel) and the heat was better than free because their service side would do oil changes and they had to get rid of the oil somehow.. so use it for the heat or PAY to have it hauled off... That better than free.
for a kit from NAPA, looks to be pretty decent setup. Kevin isnt already scheming to turbo it is he?😆 Tucker cruising to General Store in style. new shop coming together
I've left messages before about using a centrifuge to clean your used oil, running it in equipment, or effectively free fuel for the boys p/u..s. This seems good too. Your going to have months and months without needing to use this. Get a big inventory of oil for winter.
It might not be free or green, but it sure will keep the shop warm. Just make sure you filter the oil good and keep the antifreeze out of it or it will turn from warm to a nightmare. 🤣🤣
I worked at a service station in the mid 80's they had a waste oli furnace when they first came out.My job every morning was climb up and clean out the ash before starting it for the day.Hopefully they have improved since then.

Newer used oil burners are designed for very few emissions. They basically burn up all the emissions before they can exit the burners. You do have to keep them clean though because ash can build up in them.
Place I worked at for years we used this, all the old oil and we had a system of taking peoples used oil stored it in 50 gallon drums it worked awesome
.......Tucker's new workshop is now super clean and looking great with heat now. Well done indeed. Cheers and God bless with a Happy Christmas, Malcolm.
With the amount of by-product used oil the business produces, this makes sense.
I'm retired from over 50 yrs of selling installation and serviceing heating and air conditioning products and I'm very impressed with this product!! I'm also very impressed with the installation of it you guys can do just about anything ! good old American engineering!!

got to keep Tucker warm he's a great worker,Tucker's getting more used to the camera he's not as shy. Good job Tucker!🇺🇲👍💯
Every shop should have a waste oil heater. Makes so much sense. Great video
The shops new heater sure is a compact unit and the kids did a great job of cleaning that building out, doesn't look like the same place anymore.
Ya what they weren't gonna use they went and took the rest to auction and sold.
The shop shows that Hunter has been busting his hump on the new shop. The new used oil furnace looks good. Like usual, top notch!
Just keep progress thru the day, fixing building growing...so fun on the way!!! Great job... Boss Bubby Mr Tucker & Dad....we can all learn from there actions!!!
I'm glad to see you use up a resource that you have a lot of. Now Tucker has 1 less thing to worry about, and he can focus on more welding!

mom, grandma and grandpa no doubt play part of this young men’s development.
He needs to listen to all of them Mom Dad grandparents. Even Kevin you just got to know what to listen to and not listen to. Lol
Liked seeing Tucker brazing with his Gpa coaching. Kevin seemed to enjoy the fumes. A clean installation that went well.
Add a filter to help strain the oil as you fill the holding tank.
NICE. That should keep Tucker somewhat happy this Winter.
if i might make a suggestion here !build a steel pipe fence around that oil tank and lag bolt it to the floor to keep anything hitting it by accident!
It's was 17 at 4 am this morning and the weather and Kevin must be connected, great unit works very well great video thanks Clint and Kevin and Tucker and dad

No such thing as zero emissions. Who made that claim?
Clint, this is a great use of used motor oil! Awesome job C&C Crew! Take care and I’ll see y’all down the road…

Ah yes-Your Pops on the scene and helping out. Love the video's.
Tucker's shop is looking good.
its good to see dad still getting work done!
Man that’s turning out be a nice shop , looks like a smart investment ! A couple winters and that waste oil furnace will pay for itself.
The antics of Kevin and Tucker lol.
You are meeting the intent of The 3 R’s. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. ♻️
You're right Clint I built one of those homemade heaters way back when also. It was not ecologically friendly on startup but once it got hot you could hardly smell it. Love all your videos keep em coming!

Thanks for todays hot topic video! Since I am in Texas we rarely need free heat. What we do need is free AC - now that would be something!
Heat pump.
@@ShainAndrews I should have thought geo-thermal with a heat pump…
The equipment and labor are no where close to free though! LOL
The new shop is looking amazing!!!!

Great job guys. the only thing I would do is put some sort of filter screen in the funnel to keep large items out.

I used to work for a fork lift co. they would save their used oil.and also down the street was a truck service co. they would get their used oil and burn it in the winter
Sweet heater good efficiency and recycling oil for a darn good reason cause Tucker needs heat in his shop 👍😎🇺🇸 NY

Nice heater. I love the Wheel Horse Tractor too ! I would have totally driven that to the store as well….
My favorite part is when Tucker drove over the railroad tracks, THEN looks to see if there's a train coming 🙂

And Tucker needs heat? Needs to step up the pace!!😂😂 Tucker it’s time to go on strike or talk to the HR department 😉 Great video, Sunday bonus for sure!! Have a great week🤗🇺🇸
Such a great idea Tucker - forward thinking and using your knowledge of environmental care. Now up the the business side to keep the tank full of oil.
Tucker saved the day again, atta boy Tucker

Nice, using old oil for heat! I say yes, you are recycling ♻️
Tucker being a kid! Awesome!
Thank you for sharing!😊
Had used oil furnace was the biggest pain in the ass.Was up on the ladder trying to get it running. Hope your furnace will run better than mine.

Tucker's moods are inscrutable -- not in a bad way. It makes me happy to see when he's happy -- doing something challenging or fun. Clint definitely has inherited grandpa's traits. When Grandpa shows up you all get pretty serious! It’s funny. Mr Clint please don’t overload or scratch my shop truck. Thanks
On a Sunday morning with everyone getting ready for church and have 8,490 views in 3 hours. On a side note when checking the views they kept changing. I went back and looked and soon as the numbers came up they changed then changed again and as I went to go back to the dialog box they changed again. Good for 3 hours on a Sunday morning.
Much assembly required. As a former oil service technician, I’m not a fan of Carlin burners but it will probably not give you too much trouble. Good luck with it.
Put some barriers in front of that oil tank. I have spent many years on fork lifts ... put some barriers in front.
Motorway barrier works great because it can fairly easily be unbolted and is as tough as the posts it is attached to.
Newer used oil burners are designed for very few emissions. They basically burn up all the emissions before they can exit the burners. You do have to keep them clean though because ash can build up in them.
