David Spade has been around comedians for so long, he knows how to cut Bert off and continue his story without being interrupted lol.
Berts biggest downfall is cutting people off mid sentence… and its sooo fkn annoying, love the guy, but he needs to work on that big time

I'm tired of Carvey calling Spade a narcissist. Spade quit a frat because he couldn't imagine wanting to haze. That's not much of a narcissist.
God I wish David Spade would get another talk show. I could listen to him talk all day long. He is an amazing raconteur. It's not even that he has interesting stories, it's that he makes the stories he tells interesting and funny.

Love David Spade! I remember my mom and I would watch Just Shoot Me and all the laughs we had. He's the best and love to hear everyone say that he's a nice person.

1997, we were 30 kids sheltering in a basement from American bombing on baghdad , the lady that owned the house had a a casette player and tv, and 2 tank batteries , she put on tommy boy ,by david spade and chris farley , happiest night of my life 30 kids giggling louder than any bomb, most of us fell asleep before the the ending but it doesn’t matter we slept because we felt safe, thank you guys, and may god have chris next to him in paradise.

I love how Bert's guests handle his personality better than the people in the comments section. Jeezy peets people, learn how to accept others for how they are. Bert interrupts his damn self, it's not like he's doing it on purpose, it's just how his brain operates.

Thanks for a great and fascinating video with tons of comedy history.
A lot of people don't give Bert credit for what he's accomplished in the comedy world. If you can see past how he became famous and look at his body of work for what it truly is, you'll see that he is nothing short of an innovator. He was still working his ass off during the Pandemic. It was during that time he started doing drive-in movie theaters, of which he was the first to do by the way. Then after which, his comedic peers followed suit and did the same. Your efforts are celebrated, sir. I have been following your career very closely since you first appeared on Rogan (a time that I genuinely considered to be like the 'Wild West' days of podcasting.)

This might be Berts best interview ever.
Dave tells the best stories in his format. Way better than just telling jokes and or doing crowd work. If he had just told the story at the end of the night on his comedy Central show it would have still been on instead of trying to do stand up jokes.
