The Heretic will always be my favorite movie going experience. It was more exciting than Star Wars that same summer. The audience absolutely hated it. Booing, howling, and food thrown at the screen. People shouting “This movie sucks!” as they stormed out of the theater. Somebody even overturned a trash can in the lobby. I’ve come to appreciate the visual beauty of the film, but everything else? Forget it. They don’t make them like this anymore, but I wish they would😊
