I got sick from the laughing gas the doctor gave me and almost threw the doctor on the floor when he tried to use the needle in my mouth.

I totally understand Jadiens pain after watching a second time. About eight months ago (right before Covid) I left toe got ingrown and I had to get surgery. I originally thought “hey try will probably just look at it and say to come back a few days for surgery” but my introverted self just said sure to the surgery happening the same day. While they were preparing the needles I was sweating and had a lump in my throat because I wasn’t asleep. The needles actually didn’t hurt that much, in fact walking hurt more than the needles. So when my right toe decided to do the same thing, I was a lot less scared and I actually thought the needles hurt more, but that might just be my imagination.

I was also prescribed Valium for when I got my wisdom teeth out. It didn't do anything for me either, and I cried for the whole ride there out of pure fear. The nurses were kind enough to give me the loopy gas after I explained what was wrong, and the rest of the procedure luckily went pretty well

For me, when the dentist said they don't do the gas, that was enough of a red flag for me to say NOPE! MALPRACTICE ALERT!!!!. It should be law for all dentists to provide anesthetics for their patients. I went to a dentist that didn't use gas once for a cavity, and they told me to just wiggle my toes the whole time, and I wouldn't feel anything. Guess what? THEY LIED!.
10:00 its actually not irrational, at the dentist they tell you that you have to be careful because some people eat their tongue. its because you cant feel it at all.

When she said “I’m a teeth grinder” I thought of someone grinding their teeth and my teeth felt so weird
I go to the doctors almost every month for a variety of reasons and I see multiple doctors so getting surgery or teeth pulled out is as scary as seeing my room messy.
Ugh its gonna be a pain to have my wisdom teeth taken out. Whenever I eat, I feel a little thing behind my gums. And I just realized....my wisdom teeth are starting to grow and will start huggin the hell outta my gums 🙃
Once I was scared from the dentist but when i needed my tooth pulled out I didn’t want to experience the pain so I chose the needle bc I had no choice then when I got shot in my gums it wasn’t that bad I just laughed and now I have no problem getting shot
I had no idea that other places didn’t put you to sleep during wisdom tooth surgery. When I had mine taken out, the dentist gave me some anesthesia through an IV.

One time I went to the dentist for a check up, and they had to get an X-ray of my teeth, and the only way they could was by having me put a plastic X-ray thing between two of my teeth but I had an EXTREMELY sensitive gag reflex and so while trying to get it in my mouth the specific way and I vomited on the chair,(wasn’t too much but it was still gross) and my hygienist had to stop the procedure to let me get some water and breathe for a while. I felt really bad about it.
Thankfully I went totally unconscious for my wisdom teeth removal. I'm a massive baby when it comes to pain.
Her questions "does anyone want to get into a fight?", "do you have any chloroform?!" is just my overdramatic mind when I'm afraid.

Future edit: What I mean by it is my biggest fear of the dentist is that they get the scraper stuck between my bottom teeth and then they yank it out, and one of my last trips to the dentist (like January of this year) the dentist did get it stuck this year and said “I wouldn’t have got it stuck if you didn’t move” like female dog, I didn’t move until YOU did it. Like who hurt you
Okay dentist story from my experience:
Since i was young i always been have small gums which means my teeth's growth was interrupted and as i grow it made my teeth look wonky, especially on my front 2 teeth which growing up kids around me would call me rabbit/bunny. When i was in 7th grade i remembered one of my front teeth has another teeth behind it. I dont exactly remember why they need to remove it but yeah theyre gonna remove it. And heres the best part for me by the time they pull that extra teeth, that teeth was longgg. Its like a vampire teeth... but in reverse XD the "fang" part was in my gums and i still have that teeth to prove it lols.

My Dentist Office
When I was younger I used to have cavities every time I went to the dentist. I wasn’t that young though. I was probably a few years younger than I am now. I was always afraid of the dentist because I was scared that they were going to find cavities and that they had to set up another appointment to get them filled. I don’t have cavities when I go to the dentist now, but I’m still afraid that one day I will have cavities. The checkups are always really fun. I go to a children’s dentist and they have a tv in the waiting room and there’s a little train above everyone and it’s riding on these small train tracks. It goes around the waiting room and then in the gaming room (yes there’s even a gaming room) and then it goes over the door where all the dentist chairs are and stuff. And then it comes all the way back to the waiting room. Except I’m not really sure if that’s how it goes. In the waiting room, there is these little play screen things were you can play games on that are attached to the walls and you know that a dentist waiting room isn’t complete without a big fish tank! There are two curved fish tanks on either side of the waiting room and if you go past the waiting room there is this opening that doesn’t have a door and it’s just like a mini arcade where you don’t have to pay anything! Then when you go inside the doors, there is a small hallway and in the hallway there are two openings with purple walls that are supposed to be for x-raying your teeth. You have to sit in a chair and the dentist has to put this thing over you and then they have to stick these things in your mouth and then put this thing beside your face and then take the x-ray. But they have to do it on both sides. This is my least favorite part of going to the dentist because of how hard it is to stay still. And it’s also super uncomfortable but thankfully it doesn’t take to long for me. Then they take you to a big row of chairs and make you lie down in one. Across from the chair, there’s a long bench thingy that the parents usually sit on. Beside the bench thing there is a game machine. And of course there is a tv above the chair. When the dentist helper person comes back, they first floss your teeth and then they ask you what flavor of toothpaste you want and they brush your teeth and then they rinse everything with water and they they use that weird thing to get out all the water and that’s my favorite part! And then they tell you to close your mouth on it and that feels weird and cool. Then they use the mirror thing and use the tooth pick thing and then they check the x-rays and the actual dentist comes and looks at your teeth and if you have cavities then they’ll ask you to come to a room and they’ll talk to the parent and you and they’ll schedule an appointment to get your cavities fixed because they did that with my little brother but if you don’t have cavities then that’s the end of the appointment. After that they give you a bag that has a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss and they let you have two stickers and then they kick you out.

I actually understand Jaiden's fear of having a dentist needing to extract their teeth as I experienced it firsthand unfortunately by that time one of my permanent tooth is growing above my baby tooth so they have to inject my baby tooth just for it to go out

I’ve got my teeth pulled out before 😂 it wasn’t bad, they put numbing cream and then injected anesthesia. It felt weird at sometimes, but it was anti-climactic.
I have baby teeth too but when I was 3-5 I tripped on the sidewalk and landed FACE FORWARD ON MY TEETH it was like this:

I went through getting my tooth ripped out :) It was so incredibly fun (sarcasm). Even though I was tripping out from the laughing gas or whatever I could still feel it as they basically stabbed my mouth with the needle.

At the begining the blood was pink- and my mind immediately played the danganronpa theme tune
I remember when my last baby tooth was supposed to come out. The adult tooth ended up growing in underneath it and splitting it into two. Not exactly in half, there was most of the tooth and then a little sliver of it left that the dentist had to pull. It didn't really hurt, it was just a tiny little sliver, but you reminded me of that.
I went to the dentist before and they accidentally poked a hole in my mouth and it started bleeding a lot it also hurt to eat things,yawn,sneeze and move my tongue

I had to have two needles in my mouth when I was 10 years old. It was traumatic and now I’m SUPER afraid of needles. Yay!

Any serious procedures on my teeth were just mildly uncomfortable at worst, and I was never afraid of the dentist to begin with
Syringes however, are where my real fears lie, though thankfully I got over that eventually
I always ask if I can listen to music with my headphones while they do all the needles and whatever else is needed that way I don't hear all the machines and stuff going on.
i remember when i had swelling and i couldn't eat for an hour and i didn't have breakfast so when that hour was up i ran to the kitchen and made a bowl of cereal that was the worst hour of my life except for school.
Funny story
when I was in 3rd grade I had a tooth ache in the back of my mouth so I had to get it out. After a decade waiting in waiting room, they turned on a movie and put on the mouth hold, so 1st they poke a needle in the back of my mouth and it was most painful part of it, so what the needle does is... Keep the nerves calm so then I won't feel any of it. Then wiggle the tooth a bit and pulls it out with tweezers and then give you a paper towel to hold in my mouth (also it was really num thanks to the needle it was like that for a week) And a got lion. They told me to not straws for a week. Also the risk of biting the tounge. LOVED that because I hated the tooth ache. THE END
What I hate about the dentist is the suction tube, it should be called soul sucker. Then there is them going in my mouth with a sharp object, it always scares me that they'll accidentally cut my tongue.

I was under anaesthesia when I got my wisdom teeth out. So um I only really experienced the aftermath.
I was under anesthesia as well. It was just like waking up at a different time

I don't know any dentist in my country that uses gas. You just have to be awake and conscious during it. Even me, even when I had a nerve go right through the teeth so the painkillers didn't help anymore. At some point there was just no way to numb the pain since they were poking on the nerve. The surgery had to be stopped and teeth pieces had to be left in my gums, I was too hysterical. I begged to not be conscious, but nope. They didn't even think about it. Just straight up: no.
They didn't put needles in me :P I couldn't even FEEL IT! All they put was something weird on my lip :P
At one point I had to get a tooth pulled a few years ago, so when I got home all I wanted to do was watch TV and not do anything at all except that. I frequently bite my lip and since my mouth was numb I didn’t think I was biting it that hard, but next thing I know I look like a blob fish....
A few years ago my mom started regular appointments with dentists for us. I’m in the UK so it’s free till you’re 16, May as well take advantage of it. Also flossing doesn’t do shit, we British have known this for a long time.

Story Time
A girl in choir at my school fell and two of her front adult teeth fell out. Blood everywhere, bundles of tissue in front of her face, and a tooth on the ground.
Band Teacher#2: *RUNS TO GET NURSE*

I had never been to the dentist until I was almost 30. When I was in my early 20s, I had a tooth in the back of my mouth next to my wisdom tooth get a cavity in it and no matter how much I did my best to brush/floss/etc, the cavity slowly grew which made my tooth brittle until pieces were just breaking off. It got to the point where I would get really bad tooth pains for sometimes days on end and there were nights where I would lay on my hardwood floors and rest my face on the floor hoping the cool surface would help me fall asleep. I never went to the dentist though because I didn't have any insurance at the time and could not afford to go. Eventually, the nerves in the tooth died and no longer hurt. Most of the remaining part of the tooth broke off and I was mainly just left with the roots and a small part above the gumline that kept it from healing closed over the broken roots.
And I lived with that for years. It was probably 8 years before I finally had a somewhat decent job and basic insurance that I finally decided I should look into going to the dentist and getting my mouth looked at/my teeth cleaned/etc. After some cleanings, I scheduled an appointment to get the broken tooth pulled. I was a little nervous because I knew I was most likely going to have to get shots in my mouth and I am not a fan of needles. The dentist came in and stuck a big cotton swab in my mouth that had this numbing grape flavored medicine on it and I sat there for about 30 minutes. Afterwords, the dentist came back in and gave me 2-3 shots of novicane in the back of my mouth. The first shot must have bullseyed my nerves because I only felt a slight pinch for a split second of the first shot and then that was it. After about 5 minutes, the entire left side of my head was completely numb and the dentist started the extraction. It felt like he was pushing on my jaw rather hard and I felt part of the remaining tooth crack. He then said he was going to flush out the hole and he was done. I asked if that was it and he said he was done. The actual extraction itself was done in like 35-40 seconds. It just took like 45 minutes of numbing first before hand.
And while I am not nervous anymore to go back to the dentist, I am a little worried because they told me that along with one molar that was growing in the wrong place that would cause me problems, at least two of my wisdom teeth were impacted and I would need to get those extracted before they did anymore damage. The only issue being is that I would actually need surgery from an oral surgeon to get those 3 pulled which is something that I am still trying to find the time and money for. I had this first extraction done and it's been almost a year since and I am still working on paying that bill off.
If anyone needs to get a baby tooth out, try to open a crab shell. Legit, it’s so difficult, one of my teeth that weren’t even loose got loose.
The dentist I go to didn't put a needle in my mouth for my loose teeth they would just go "YOINK"

Biting the tongue part isn’t irrational, i did indeed bite and swallow a piece of my tongue. It came back in a couple of months and there were mild discomforts while eating but overall it was fine.
i had surgery done on my upper mouth to bring down my two front teeth i still feel the stitches to this day

That's the freaky thing about dentists... they are lying butt holes.
I'm only 15 and in just this last year I had to get 3 cavity fillings each times with 2+ cavities, a root canal for one of my molars because there was a decay and a cavity INSIDE of my tooth, and now my wisdom teeth are growing at a fairly quick rate so ima have to deal with that too.
Also did I mention that there was full consciousness for the root canal so I had to sit there while listening to them saw off my tooth while leaving only a small bump of bone and then had to come back an hour later and be stabbed by 2 more needles of numb juice and listen to them but a piece of cement in my mouth.....
I was terrified...
