She's still alive. She wrote a book, When I Fell From the Sky. Incredible true story

I bought that book and it really is an amazing story of survival. She said the lightning hit the wing, which exploded, but she suddenly found herself in the middle of a row of four seats, where she fell with a spinning motion that slowed them down. She said the rainforest below looked like an enormous mass of broccoli. The rainforest canopy has numerous levels, which further softened the fall. She said she could hear moans of a couple other survivors during the night, but they had passed by the next morning.

I also read that book years ago. The part that stuck with me all these years was a terrible wound on one of her arms kept getting maggots in it and she used a splintered ring she had been wearing to try to scrape the maggots out. After she was rescued and taken to hospital the doctor told her those maggots actually saved her arm by eating the dead flesh and preventing a fatal infection.

I have read a lot about this accident, it always terrified me for some reason. Absolutely horrible.

Unbelievable that the 17 year old girl survived falling 10,000 feet. Too bad the pilots didn't alter their route, they may have made it to their destination. But I guess the powers that be had other plans. Yes, the crash was absolutely horrific, but that girl surviving is a miracle in and of itself! Great video...thank you for creating, uploading and sharing!!

YT suggested this video- glad they did.
I’m subscribing to the channel. One thing you may want to consider is doing voice narration.
Your storytelling is good and it might make it even better

What do you mean a "successful" belly landing? Was in unintentional or an emergency?

The pilots should have climbed up and out of the storm. Better yet don't fly into it in the first place.🙈

No pilot should fly into a thunderstorm. That's just bad news. As in this case.

The pilots were pressured into making the deadline.

I don't think is fair to put all that pressure about time on the pilots, sometimes is impossible to avoid to be
behind schedule, this accident is a proof of the pressure from the companies

Incredible occurrence and story, and a professional presentation here, but it's "The Girl WHO, not The Girl THAT..." Humans are identified by the pronoun, "who." Animals and inanimate objects are identified by "that."

Hi Mauricio how are you doing? I remember this case with a feeling of a human being struggling for survival. If we think with logic 🤔 the seat 💺 absorbed the struck how lucky the girl was
