I'll be picking up my Mini Maxx on the 29th, and I'm looking forward to it. That being said, I've been running my Typhon grom for a little bit now, and that little guy is a BEAST! I doubt that I'm going to like the Mini Maxx better than it, but we shall see.
I’m still gonna pick up my Mini Maxx preorder because of the size. I want Arrma to make a Grom+ size truck to compete though, a big rock or kraton. Even with the Badlands the Typhon is just too small for bigger areas/grass and 3s is too much for small areas.
@@t3floz i dont even think it will need 3s i think with a decent brushless system on 2s it will be enough. I think 3s will be over powering and not driveable.
@ I had an e revo 1/16 which in size is about the same just a truggy model. I drove that on 3s and I would personally never want anything slower than that. Easy backflips and air control is the must fun for me
@@t3floz air control has more to do with torque then speed . This truck is a lil bigger then the mini e revo i have a video up for comparison. Id prefer this truck over mini e revo i guess speed with this isnt a huge deal to me being i have so many bigger rc. I dont tgink this truck will cost that much to make faster . I think everyone thinks it will bevause everyone is showing installment of 160$ brushless systems.
@ blowing front and rear diffs due to missing center diff would be my guess. I think a center diff will distribute power better and make it not so hard on single parts.
I ordered the Mini Maxx in Orange. Just wanted a smaller truck that worked well on a 2S system. I have short dirt tracks and would like my boys to eventually get into the hobby. I thought this would be a good start. Thanks for sharing. Good video of general ripping the RC’s around. 🏁🇺🇸🏁🏎️
Arrma beats out the traxxas all day. Not having plastic on the arrma as far as cvds go and all aluminum shocks also as you said price.... entry level cant beat the blx. Plus it fits in a backpack

The Arrma is cheaper and it is faster. I ordered the Mojave Grom BLX💪🏼
The fact you have to pay so much to make the maxx be able to handle 3s makes it a absolute no for me. It could have been an amazing car :/

There a video that shows the minimaxx blows it's diffs on 3s, the guy broke 3 diffs on 1.5 battery runs, and there no aftermarket fix yet.

That Traxxas is overpriced for what you get.
