This song made me sleep on the blanket and cover myself with the bed.

Too bad they are owned by the masters of their label. They speak a good line but they are under the thumb of the cabal.
I used to live with this guy who would blast this song in his truck every morning at precisely 6:00
hell of a guy!!
Best neighbour.
That's probably me :D
If I had a neighbour that every morning reminded me that "and now you do what they told ya,and now you are under control" my choices would have been more personal...(fuck you I won't do what you tell me

I remember having 4:35 as my ringtone for my parents back when I was 15. It took nearly a year for them to take notice. Good times...
😂
The fact that at least 22 millions of people can recognize themselves in these lyrics and shout out loud the last words...make me feel so good and less alone...sad times we still live in....
Hands down one of the best songs ever made
Any killer song done by RAGE is pure poetry. Slamming down word after word after word.
Nearly 29 years later, more relevant than ever.
Further in the future we go, the more relevant it will become I'm afraid.
This world will end in flames and this will be its anthem
rage against the machine is the best crossoverband what ever give!!
The outrage was real with Zack. You felt that always. Tim, Brad, and Tom were a tight band no doubt, but it was Zack that put RATM over the top.
When I was a teen my mother told me to take out the trash, and (inspired by this song, yet misinterpreting it's aim) I yelled at her these words "f__k you I won't do what you tell me".
I miss those teeth. It's funny how you never truly value somethings until you loose them.
You made my day mate. Good on you
And now you do what they told ya

Love seeing the conservatives here whining over the fact that they liked this song, never realizing that they were always the "Machine" that this band rages against.
"Some of those who run forces, are the same who burn crosses." What part of that sounds Conservative to you lol They just like the idea of rebelling without actually leaving their comfort zone of "cultural conservatism" aka stagnation. Theres nothing revolutionary or impressive about being anti progress, anti technology, anti scientific. Its all about doing the same thing and never changing, and scorning anyone who tries.
I like how some conservatives like Tom Macdonald act like they’re against the system when they ARE the system (Well some of its greediest fanatics) also mandatory F Tom Macdonald.
Rage was ahead of their time!
It was still happening 30 years ago. It just still applies because socoety sucks

Fist in the air in the land of hypocrisy
one of the most powerful songs ever sung
We weren’t ready when this came out !!!!!
Most who are commenting here weren't even born when this came out. Times were different and police brutality was on a whole other level. Now, well, to quote professor Dr. Thomas Sowell, "If not a single policeman killed a single black individual anywhere in the United States for this entire year, that would not reduce the number of black homicide victims by one percent."
@@svaz2006 I think I wrote this comment out of pure emotion during the George Floyd protests. I absolutely agree with you. I was about 13 years old when it came out and in no way did I have the maturity to fully comprehend what it was about. What you said makes a lot of sense

Imagine if a band released this kind of thing NOWADAYS
Its the same god damn way now a days as back then. I was 1 or 2 when this was released and everything he's saying is how i feel about cops. Had an early in life experience with cops that i know exactly what they are all about. Ding rust cops don't talk to cops. Fuck the cops. No real ones left anymore. Thats the problem. All the sheep let's the world go to shit for the illusion of safety(covid19) for example. Never give up liberty for the illusion of security. Thats the simple thing that's destroying this country from the inside out
It's literally happening all the time, the things they are talking about are still happening all over the US.
This is America? Pretty similar
Check out Rebel Diaz, they released a great song in response to the issues being fought on the front lines right now that goes hand in hand with this
Wish they would! They'd be revered by the majority!
