Great video once again, Sergey.
I took a life lesson from this session. Keep the people I want in life, directly infront of me, parallel to myself and focus just on them. Everyone else, do not require my focus lol
That is the Best Comment I Received!!!!
Me bringing a huge plank of wood to every shoot!!😂😂😂
I was thinking the exact same thing 🤣
hahaha I was just using it as visual example ;)

I was thinking about the same thing! lol
Bruh finally a video to break it down in the most simple way possible.
Thank you, glad to hear that! This is my all time most asked question, so I decided to try to explain this topic in a simple form.

I asked you to explain how you managed to get all family members in focus in one of your last videos. This video explains everything perfectly. Many thanks Sergey. Alun
Hi Alun, it was a great question that I get asked quite often. I'm glad it answered your question!!
Great info! I’ve learned this through failing the hard way a number of times. Now I do this, but I also shoot once around F4-5.6, raise iso to accommodate, switch to manual focus, ask everyone to move and shoot the background at F1.2 so I can merge if necessary
Great idea!!
Such a simple and practical explanation. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback!

Awesome, I'm glad it is helpful!!
Thank you so much. You got excellent explanation on this parallel and depth to feel thing. It helps me a lot to understand. Just learning how to use my lenses.
Great video, but do you always shoot family portraits at 1.2? Feels a bit more safe to stop down a little bit in case someone starts leaning a bit forward during the shoot for example?
I didn’t know that people would need to be parallel to the lens in order to be in focus at the same time. This is great information to gain. I am a visual learner so I understand without having questions 😂
Thank you for the video and easy explanation, my question is which focus are you using eye AF, single point that info would help put everything together for me. Thank you
Great D.O.F. explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice simple explanation for newbies.. anyway can you also do a video on your phito editing process and if you can throw some techniques, tht will be great. Thanks

Hello Kandyce, wow great to hear from a fellow photographer! I really appreciate your feedback!
great video.
what is your setup for your camera for family picture?
Thank you Sergey!!
Your welcome
Great Info man)
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you
Thanks a lot!
Great tutorial Sergio! I’m really surprised that when you had the twins spread out on the same plain that the outside edges did not get soft. I’ve always had the perception that the further you got from center the edges would get soft at shallower DOF.
answered in last live video
Amazing thanks so much
Your welcome
thank you for the demo Sergey
Thanks for the feedback!
So how do you have everyone in focus if you are using different levels of standing seated arrangements? For example, two standing in behind seated subjects. Move further back, or adjust aperture?
Great explanation!
Thank you so much!
Great video. What if I want to photograph a person holding a baby and use 1.2 or similar for nice bokeh. Any tips how to keep both the parent and the baby in focus?
Nice! Thank you
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Thankyou so Much Sir
Thanks for your feedback!
ver helpful with your samples
well explained
Thank you so much!
Good video .I am not getting f1.2 in my R5 with adapter ,but only 1.4.With my canon 80D ,I do get 1.2.Reason please?
This is perfect
great video. stand in a line!
Thank you so much for this video. I just purchased this lens for my R5 and am going to take some photographs of my Grandson and his girlfriend and wanted to take advantage of the f/1.2 aperture. Do you use eye detect or just regular focus points?
Love it
Than kyou
can this be done indoors as well?
Спасибо 📷
You are very welcome, thank you for supporting my channel
great video. I want to say I have never see a video you do with fast. Do you have time to do one for us please
What do you mean? "I have never see a video you do with fast"???
What focusing you use? Single focus orang group focus in camera when you take picture?
beautiful twin.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing. How about having say 10 people where 5 are sitting and 5 are standing behind
made standing people get close as possible and lean forward.... make little bigger distance between you and group. or go for little higher f-stop such as 1.4, 1.8 or 2.0
