We took the comfortable overnight train journey from Budapest to Split.
The Adria InterCity departs from Budapest-Keleti at 18:45. After passing the southern shore of Lake Balaton, crossing the Hungarian-Croatian border, and transitting the Dinaric Alps arrives to Split the next day at 9:49.
We had the great time exploring around on our feet, interesting Roman ruins and history, the downtown Split Riva with bustling waterfront and expansive boardwalk giving it the coziness to relax, seat and watch the sunset.
Split is very beautiful, the view, seafood/food and service is superb.
