      He and his Department failed massively on this case. So many women could have been protected and had justice. I think there should be a review of the handling of this case to see how things can be done differently.

      Keir Starmer was asked about it. He said Al Fayed's file never came across his desk. You can only prosecute someone if they have been reported to the CPS. (Like Jimmy Saville - he was never reported to the CPS - and was dead by the time they knew anything about his criminal activities). The fault lies with Harrods' management who knew about this.

      We are not in the 60s anymore since 2017 and the me too movement scores of men got put away Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Rolf Haris, Max Clifford to name but a few.       I think the reason people didn't come forward is adequately explained by his ability to use his wealth to litigate and silence people; additionally experts in the field of abuse agree it can take victims decades to feel able to report their abuser.

    It would have been very difficult for those women to complain about their boss, particularly as they relied on the work and wages he provided. Also, the fact of finding another job they would have to provide a reference of previous works. I, for one, would not have asked for a reference from someone like him if I had been in that position and was looking for other employment. Very tricky for women.

      Harrods had a safety deposit depository in the basement. It was managed by a formed head of Scotland Yard

    When Muhammad al Fayed wormed his way into vulnerable (and vindictive) Princess Diana's confidence I quickly discerned his character in his bloviating interviews. He was so superfically charming and smary it was impossible to view him any other way.
    When he manipulated Diana to be with his son Dodi I realized this had been his endgame all along.
    I am convinced a great number of Al-Fayed's female victims simply suppressed their natural intuition. So many of us girls and women have been taught generation after generation to do this within our family structure and with absent or poor fathering qualities and neglectful mothers this sadly is frequently the outcome.

    It was common knowledge that Al Fayed was an absolute monster, he preyed upon any woman with the misfortune to be employed by Harrods, l had friends working there who spoke openly about his total disrespect of all female employees and treated them like absolute trash, if Princess Diana had not been Dodis girlfriend she would have been taken advantage of, he had no scruples at all and behaved exactly as you would expect a shady person like him to do so

    We should never have sold British iconic brands and big stores to overseas buyers. Especially to countries cultures that don't share our values and the old British kindness.
