You really have to put Sail Amsterdam 2025 in your callender! it is normally once every 5 year but due to the plague 5 years ago was canceled. You might even still be able to rent a boat.
If you Loooooove Mexican food, try El Sombrero in Scheveningen, The Hague. I highly recommend the food but also engage in a conversation with the owners, I'm sure you'll like them and that you'll return there. 😊
There are definitely Cinnabons in the Netherlands if you're looking for one. There's one in Amsterdam in de 'Poort' shopping area (bijlmer arena station, just walk not towards the football stadium but the other way and you'll find it soon) and there's one also in Hoog Catharijne (the shopping mall just outside of Utrecht Central station).
Glow is this week. Eindhoven is a very nice city to be in, you can walk from the utter south to north with always some leaves in sight... Just follow the river Dommel 😉
I am from Eindhoven originally but have moved to Sweden, and it’s really fun to see you exploring my home city. Next time you’re in ‘Eindje’, I would recommend you to go to the Philips museum in the city center and most definitely ‘Meneer the boer’, where they serve breakfast all day. 🥰
It's still some weeks out but I can highly recommend de Zomerfeesten during the Nijmeegse Vierdaagse. It's definitely worth a two, three day visit if not all four days.
Welcome back to Eindhoven. Nice seeing you hit up the couple of places owned by Americans. Nico’s (a local chain in AZ/SD) is my go to for authentic Arizona Mexican food. Well done.
Love these videos! Also a fun idea for a video: check out the “vierdaagsefeesten” in Nijmegen! It’s the biggest walking event in the world, but it also features a whole week of live music, activities and more through the entire city. And it’s free! It takes place the 13th to 19th of july. I know you guys have been to Nijmegen before, but i feel that Nijmegen in winter doesn’t do it justice. Also you guys missed a lot of spots. Keep vlogging! ❤
Van Delft has (or maybe used to have) "Zure matten" flavored kruitnootjes. It's a popular sour Dutch candy, think Sour Patch Kids but flat and more chewy. Very sour. I brought them to the office when Van Delft had a popup in Markthal and everybody thought they were gross. But I loved them and ate them all.
a tour on the "heide " by bike in drenthe is great. Try to ride the afsluitdijk by bike as well. Its just reopened after maintenance. Also " het groene hart" by bike is wonderfull. Hiden jams around every corner in the netherlands. Hidden churches in amsterdam....you need to see them.
If you gonna visit Nijmegen again you should try the Discodel and a broodje Spee. Also Goffert park is really nice and there is sometimes concerts.. like Rammstein and Bruce Springsteen( last and this week) Also the local beers from De Hemel are really good
Hi there. Go to Simonis in Scheveningen Harbour. Great seafood and large portions. And one hint. Only buy herring fresh from the knive and make sure they show you that they clean it on the spot. So never ever buy it when it is on a plate. They will tell you it is just made but it is they boughtit the previous dat and it is machine cleaned mostly Also when je find a place where it is really vers van het mes then ask for a tootertje. A tootertje is a small herring which taste Munch beter then what we Scheveningsers call a Amsterdam shark
Have you also seen any of these cars at the DAF museum which are known for being able to drive as fast backwards as they can drive forwards? Long ago, we used to have races with these on TV.
As an American Truck Simulator streamer, the DAF museum visit was a pleasant surprise. Good to see that Michelle drives ETS2 like I do. I'm also glad that you guys finally found some good Mexican food. I know how hard it is to find good Mexican joints over there. Lekker!
Return to Arnhem with a combined visit to Nationaal Park de Hoge Veluwe (maybe also Kröller-Müller museum), there are bikes for free to use to get around there. For food there's Iveau's burgers (won best burger multiple times). There's also Burgers' Zoo which imo is top 3 zoos in the Netherlands.
we actually visited de hoge veluwe and the grounds of the kroller-muller museum in our second camper van video from last year, but we need to go back at some point... the weather was terrible and we didn't have time to actually go inside the museum
The best cinnamon rolls are at a bakery called Mas in Amsterdam! They’re only opened from Wednesday to Saturday, they bake them fresh during the day and they’re the best. Oh, and my daughter works there 😀
Damn... I work just across the brewery in that big Building, if I knew... I could have come to say hi! Or where you two there in the weekend? Love the video... again!! 😆😆 15:48 and know I know it was not in the weekend 😂
Since you guys are so fond of swimming you might want to check out what I thought the wonderful Spa Hotel in Arcen, Limburg. A stay over, spa, swim, tasty inhouse restaurant and even massage (I'd suggest prebooking on the massage) I guarantee will not disappoint. It's one of my favourite wellness hotels to stay at. And don't forget the ice bucket refresher between swims in their variety of pools and saunas. Oh, and the stay includes a 'gratis' breakfast.
Tilburg, not during the Kermis. And next rime you're in Eindhoven, and want good Mexican food, try El Pastor. They have for instance el pastor taco's and Birria Taco with consome. Sooooo tasty😊
Your first sponsor🎉🎉🎉 Visit Den Haag next, the Royal palace will be open from 17 july until 4 august. It’s one of the official palaces of our king and only open for a limited time a year.
You mentioned Swinckels beer. (I don't drink beer.) This is a family business of some 7 generations, now. Still independent. Not very important, maybe, but from the region and only 7.6 miles (12.2km) from Eindhoven center - as the crow flies.
Nice video. On a hot day in August or September go visit Walcheren. There is a direct train from Dordrecht to Vlissingen. Cities to visit Goes, Middelburg, Veere, Domburg and Vlissingen. Veere is a former town, that is now more like a village, but very nice to have a stroll on a hot summer evening.
You should also try the Belgian Worstenbrood (in province Antwerp): see Dutch Wikipedia. The moment to do that is traditionally lost monday, but you'll find this also most other days if you'll look for it.
Top program you two have I really enjoy it! I have one coment as a Haring fan , i eat the new Haring which is from around mid june to 30th september by the way without onions! only after the 30th. of september the onions do seriously make them taste better! I thuoght this was a matter of taste question to (and maybe it is also unto this day)! Until i read a book about the Dutch "Haring" and apparently the upper class ladies in den Haag when they were on the beach in Scheveningen at the end of the summer season they asked for fresh diced onions to mask the taste! since then I have experimented with that and I must say "The ladies have a point"! ENJOY!
That hunk - honk moment was so, SO corny hahaha. But I loved it so, SO much at the same time. To be honest, who doesn't want a match like yours? ❤ Cool to see you were in a town nearby! Did you know the face of the Central Station is designed to look like an old radio? With the clock being the button you turn to find a channel. Bless! ❤
I think it's ehm, more of an American joke about breasts. In this case accompanied by pinching them... (mostly women's breasts, obviously). Honkers is a slang reference to breasts...a not so positive one at that.
Dear Buncharted, after seeing this video I am actually on my way to Eindhoven right now. I’m sooo curious for Nico’s Mexican Food. That California Burrito 🌯 looks de-lish 😃 Thanks for your, always pleasant and lovely, videos
Nico's is a family owned chain in the US and the owners here are part of that family! So it's legit recipes from Arizona. They have great quality for fair prices!
News flash: The alcohol-free beer. Yesterday they published the results of at least one of the ingredients they use. And that's the same amount of sugar in a glass of beer as in Coca-Cola. That's 14 sugar cubes in a glass. Do you mind?
You misses the typical 'Eindhovense bol'. It's a sort of 'Bossche bol' but the dough is a little bit different and without chocolade. Inside it's almost the same but it's with caramel inside.
Zoek een oude Donald Duck (kringloopwinkel! Kwartje bij de Rataplan) waar de Ducks *Eendhoven* bezoeken 😁👍 just a suggestion, because the "inspiration" for Eendhoven is quite obvious. As landgenoten old Duckies are worth a look, for several reasons. Of course they reference all the Dutch traditional stuff, but also a bit of current stuff at times (Rutte has appeared a few times in the past).
Leuk om jullie weer in Eindhoven te zien. Ik kom zelf oorspronkelijk uit Dordt maar woon in Weert en kom geregeld in Eindhoven. 😊 En dang it! Now I want a worstenbroodje! 😂😭
Some say that football is the national sport of the Netherlands, but I suspect it's actually scalding one's mouth with bitterballen. Other video highlights: M: (describing her beer) "it's got a nice crispy edge to it" A: "like a pizza?" Lastly, what's an American Meat Plate gotta do for a little Vandestreek sponsorship? Congratulations for the other sponsorship and the continued success of your channel!
Can remember how "our" walk-in cat was always walking around us when preparing fish (opening up a can of anything also made her go haywire thinking it was wet-food...that's when we had to close the kitchen-door). One time however, we bought fish from the supermarket that upon opening the package had us be like "That.....doesn't smell normal". It was not repugnant like when it's much worse, but we still were on edge. We decided to put a little piece on a dish and lower it to cat level. She came running up really interested at first, but at 20 cm's of the dish made one of those "Woah, hold on!" moves and pulled her head back and immediately stopped. She started sniffing much more carefully and then took her distance while one of her eyes flinched.... That's when we knew for sure that fish was NOT good to be prepared, nor eaten anymore...
With those "USAnian" baked dough things, I wondered about their history. Bagel - from the Jewish culture in Poland. Cinnamon roll: brought to the US by Swedish migrants after WW1. That sausage in the bagel, though - not kosher ;)
LOOL ETS2! Absolutely useless advice incoming :D . The seat was absolutely not adjusted correctly (if you can adjust it, that is): If there is anything I learned from playing that game (with a similar kind of setup, all be it much more DIY and currently with a much less finished look) it's that the seat position makes a tremendous amount of difference in how well you are going somewhere. The screen size also helps out a lot: the bigger the better, because it makes your feeling of the turns you make a whole lot easier to sense. Not being able to look into corners makes it hard. And then there's obviously the speed: Truck driving, just like bus driving means patience :P . 20-30 km/h can be more than enough. I had a test lesson on a coach in 2022 and the driving instructor said at the start "If you notice at the first turn you are not having "enough time" to make the wheel turn, you are going to fast." I completely underestimated the force required to make a full turn from right to left (the test lesson took you over 3 roundabouts). I'm not sure what setup they use to connect to the wheel, but it was not setup to be identical to the in-game wheel, which can mess with your brain bad. As for the shifting: next to trucks typically having an automatic gearbox, semi-automatic sometimes, I have always had difficulties shifting in computer games. You miss out on so much information the vehicle gives you when it comes to the biting point that it makes it difficult to do. Keeping the center of your lane was also something that took some getting used to which again, is where a big screen can help: "Middle of the road at the line of your right knee" is what I heard from a friend who drove trucks for a living. Some of the food looks soooo good. I was already hungry and I'm now more hungry :P .
This is my hometown, born and bred, but for me it's one of the ugliest cities in the Netherlands, because i know what they all demolished in the past! 😥 And i don't know for sure, but it looks like you can shift the ladder a bit to the right, so it's easier to climb on the bed! 😁✌🏼
Oh, forgot something: DAF started out as a builder of trailers. At some point in time the decision was made to build the truck too. That made a very big difference: They started building their own diesel engines. That was a game changer. As a company for trucks they are top of the bill. What was a big mistake the decision to go into personal vehicles. You see Van Doorne was a tinkerer, never a good thing when trying to build a company. Long story short: It went bust. Volvo took over the car business, PACCAR took over the engine and truck division, the Variomatic became its own entity. In the end Paccar had the very best of it all, all of their American engines are based on the block from DAF. Volvo is now Chinese, don't know who owns the Tilburg factory where CVT push-belt are made though, but the system is still used in various brands of, predominantly, Japanese cars. As for 'funny how Formula 1 was influenced by DAF', Williams actually developed a f1 car with the CVT, David Coulthard even drove it. 😊 ruclips.net/video/6nWrDKGoYJo/видео.htmlsi=sxyBYeoM8Firwc9L

SAME
I never knew there was a tiny home at Strijp-S, now I need to find it.
I see it from my office 😊
Welcome to the city I live in! As someone who never expected to move to Brabant, Eindhoven is lovely to live in!

You are both such a fun couple to follow wherever you go. Thanks!
13:07 A tiny home, or as it's known in New York/Tokyo: A 1000 euro per month apartment.
I looked it up, and we actually have 3 cinnabon shops in The Netherlands. In Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam.
Yes tried the one in the shopping mall Rotterdam Alexandrium several times, it’s great
They have been in nl for a long time. Like 10 years ago we bought it at Zuidplein in Rotterdam

There is now a cinnabon strore in Hoog Catharijne mall in Utrecht.
And Rotterdam and Amsterdam! (Bijlmerplein)
If y'all like Mexican be sure to check out Kua next time you visit The Hague.
I love the bedroom in that tiny house. Also do remember installing some truck sims on my pc many years ago. Must try it again 🙂
i’m sure you’ll fare better than michelle 😂
Can’t wait to watch this
Is the "honk honk" a reference to the special education truck driver in New Kids Turbo?
I think it's ehm, more of an American joke about breasts. In this case accompanied by pinching them... (mostly women's breasts, obviously). Honkers is a slang reference to breasts...a not so positive one at that.
Dear Buncharted, after seeing this video I am actually on my way to Eindhoven right now. I’m sooo curious for Nico’s Mexican Food. That California Burrito 🌯 looks de-lish 😃 Thanks for your, always pleasant and lovely, videos
Update: OMG just finished my california burrito. DA best burrito 🌯 I have ever tasted! Thank you so much for this suggestion Buncharted🤩😃
i'm glad you liked it! :)

Welcome back to my city!!!! Love the city videos.
That's a good first sponsor. Kudos!
There is a Cinnabon in the Netherlands! Multiple actually. Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam.
i cant believe i haven’t smelled them here yet 😅
There is a cinnabon store in Rotterdam Alexandrium shoppingmalls, if you feel like it
😅😅😅
Just subscribed guys 👍
The Netherlands also has Cinnabon locations, did you know that? In Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Amsterdam
haha i didn’t but tbh we haven’t scouted them out
Well I just now got the notification of this video thanks YT, but of course the like will be there and i will watch till the end

And i don't know for sure, but it looks like you can shift the ladder a bit to the right, so it's easier to climb on the bed! 😁✌🏼

@@buncharted Well that's bad designed, or maybe they did it so the tiny house feels even tinier! 🤪✌🏻
@@pietergreveling almost as if Philips had a hand designing it... technically, nice through excellent, but usefulness is fairly low...

I watch buncharted to see someone put a worstenbroodje through a worstenbagel. What did I just watch?! Do better!
OMG
how did we not think of that?!?!?
