Honestly, I think I'd be happy if farmable tiles had fixed snap points for crops. 9 corn, carrots, tatoes, or blackberries; 4 mutfruit or small razorgrain; & 2 mellon, gourds or large razorgrain. You could even toggle snapping on and off the same way you can with everything else. I mean, I rarely put mutfruit, razorgrain, or blackberries in a garden, instead I'll use them as dressing around my camp. So when I do make a garden, it's usually just 3 corn, 3 tatoes, and 3 carrots on one tile and a melon and a gourd on the other. You don't need a large garden if you use Good With Salt or a refrigerated backpack. No Man's Sky has a similar system with planters that works really well.
To place a turret on the white metal table, if you pull the table back from the edge of the guard post just a small bit and center the turret in the very middle of the table itself, it will place every single time. I love that you included so many of the potted sundew plants as you can clearly see the sundew forest in the distance so it looks like you just ran over and collected some to decorate your camp with right from the source. I like the inclusion of the hay bales instead of the tires by the entry gate because it goes with the feel of the contemporary porches, which are a throwback to the old country farm homes from the 1950s that had wrap around porches and there were always hay bales laying around for the farm animals, so that blends with the plants and the greenhouse to create a unique and cohesive environment. This entire build was beautifully designed and executed and looks like a little village. Amazing work!!
I visited this camp yesterday! I was playing with a friend who is a fan of yours and he geeked out when he saw we were in the same server as you. We also did an event with you near your camp where we killed a whole lot of robots. Love the design of the camp! (p.s. I also spent 7k buying items in your store so I'm now broke!)
I remember seeing you I think. (Or I think it was you). 😊 I'm having the opposite problem ATM. Too many caps! Now I know why. 😂 Say hello to your friend too.
OMG, no! I placed my camp here last week and now everyone is going to want to camp here. :( Giggles. Seriously, I just placed my camp at this spot last week; very lovely location. Thank you for the video, please build more!!!
Coming back into this game, and I absolutely love this build. This is my current inspiration for my second base. I absolutely love how this looks. Not too spread out but also not enclosed either, and the path that it has preexisting is amazing. Great build!
Nice build. Im trying to build a town similar to yours but making it look like grayditch from fallout3 one of my favorite locations. Do you think you can build on top of the red rocket garage?
You can put some things on the top of the red rocket. The hard part is that walls still need to connect to stairs and foundations, so you'd need to build up from ground level somehow. I've seen people do it before though.
I absolutely suck at building in games like these, but this blew my mind, I will be "borrowing" some of these idéas and designs if you don't mind! really loved the build mate, im very new to F76, only played the launch and just got back into it so this will help me enjoy my time more! Well fucking done mate.
That spot is a really good one. I've built there previously, myself. I ADORE making villages with my CAMPs. It's one of my go-to styles, and when I do something different, I miss it lol. You did this one nicely. Love it. :)
There should be a "love" button, "like" doesn't cover it correctly! Awesome build, very creative, and I love the way you explain the "why's and how's" of what you're building!
I've seen a few camps done in this layout with an old west theme. The buildings were a saloon, a bank, a sheriff's office/jail, and a general store. I can't remember if you did an old west build like that or not.
I haven't done one yet but I'd like to. I tried to do an old West saloon a while ago, but I really wanted the door to be across the corner at 45° but the building system just doesn't support it unfortunately.
@@DarthXionGames Hmm, could it be done with blueprinting maybe? I've made an octagon before using that method but I haven't tried more than that. You might hit trouble lining up the walls in the corner opposite the door
It was more the size of the pieces. They're too small to fit on the diagonal of a foundation. I managed a work around for that but then the walls were in the wrong position for upper floors and roofs. 😕
nice build ..i wish they would release the glass building again a lot of us haven't got it...on another subject you were on about headlamps i just got the reclaimed miners gas mask that gives out a lot of light mate looks cool too
The second slot is available by default which is cool. You can only have one active at a time however, (you toggle between them), so they can't be used to make something bigger.
So I may have -stolen- borrowed this design, but I've tried make it my own at the same time. Instead of building the small log cabin house, I actually built your Morgantown Cottage from another video you did (which I thought looked really cool) because I wanted to have a 2 bedroom house so that Daphne (my characters 'adopted daughter') could have her own room. Because I don't have the glass walls to build the greenhouse next door, I instead made a small fenced off farm to the side of the house using the Wavy Willards walls and Encampment gate, with a Brahmin, a small amount of crops and a well in there, and a large water purifier in the water next to it. On the other side of the road I basically copied your Red Rocket garage workshop (because I have that prefab and I like what you did with it), but the shop I changed into more of a pub/shop, and in-between those two I have a shed that houses the silver extractor and my collectron. I then used the Wavy Willard walls to plug up any gaps in between the buildings to wall it all off. I had to scrimp a little bit when it came to decorating the house because of build limits (Daphnes room got the most attention) but It's still nicely decorated and cosy, and the camp overall looks amazing, especially at night when all the lights are on. I've had plenty of random visitors already and they've all sought me out to give me the thumbs up emote as a sign of approval, and some of them even dropped me some gifts lol, so it's definitely been a hit!
It sounds like you've got a pretty cool take on the idea! I particularly like the sound of the Pub. I definitely need to do something like that eventually!
What would be great is if we could use the porch as a second story on our roofs. You know like a roof farming area with a roof. For all of us hydroponics farmers.
If you take and defend public workshops you'll pick up a good few pretty quickly. There are tons available at the Whitespring too if you want to spend the caps. They're expensive though.
The red rocket is an Atomic Shop item that comes and goes every so often. The greenhouse was a season reward last year though so unfortunately that's not available anymore. Whether it will reappear at some point, ether for bullion or as part of another season... 🤷♂️ We'll have to wait and see.
@@DarthXionGames ok, well crap, is party camp building still a thing? I remember back shortly after launch you could party with someone and they could build things in your camp that you didn't have the plans for, is that still a thing?
There are a few sets with porches available in different styles. They're all from the Atomic Shop as far as I recall. The Contemporary set was the first one and is the one I usually use for double sided walls. The Halloween set, Log Cabin set and Helvetia set also have their own porches and are pretty cool too. There's also a destroyed version that can be situationally useful, but perhaps goes a bit far with it. They're all from the Atomic Shop though.
@@DarthXionGames OK, thanks for the reply! Been just maybe 3-4 weeks playing, not seen any sets on Atom Shop with them yet. Was hoping the Whitespring set would have one, but it does not appear so. I will just keep watching when new sets comes out!
@spamanator666 they do come back around. It can take a while sometimes though. Tbh I don't recall seeing any recently so hopefully the wait won't be too much longer. 🤞 Another option would be to check the Bethesda Support pages. You can often request specific items from there by putting in a support ticket. They have a specific option for that I believe.you need to have the Atoms available in advance though.
@@DarthXionGames Very cool, I will do some research and see what the best set for what I am trying to build it, then see if Cust Service can help me. They already helped me with a refund when I hit the wrong button and spent 1800 Atoms on something a few weeks ago. Crazy that there is no "Are you really sure?" confirmation on the Atom Store!
@@DarthXionGames BTW, this village is awesome! I can still barely survive Cranberry Bog, but I might try something like it in the Forest. LOL! (did not realize when I asked my question that it was two years old)
I was in this spot for a month, good for legendary grinding, wish the silver deposit was something else, and the moat is annoying as fuck, yasmin likes this area and she will feed you here, i always see her outside the camp, like far away, killing raiders or supermutants

They're part of an Atomic Shop bundle that pops up fairly regularly. I can't remember the name though. I think they come up on their own from time to time as well.
It's not bad. I wouldn't recommend the cranberry bog to a low level character obviously but otherwise it's fine. I get attacked by Anglers occasionally and a Yao Guai appeared in my camp once but it's been pretty reasonable otherwise.
