Creating Change with Multimedia Journalism

When a chemistry professor at the University of Oregon encouraged Ashley Baker '20 to apply to the multimedia journalism master's program in Portland, she jumped at the opportunity.
Baker entered the program without any formal training in journalism.
Yet, she flew drones, recorded audio to create animated graphics, and composed cinematic shots to learn how to fuse her love of science and storytelling.
