  • Presented by Mark Weathington, Director, and Blake Wentley, Education Assistant, JC Raulston Arboretum on May 8, 2024.
The ornamental plant world is full of plants with floral and foliar displays so magnificent that we sometimes forget some of the wonderful aspects of their functionality. The overwhelming beauty of our favorite flowering plants can completely distract us from the fact that we could eat certain parts of these plants if we were so inclined. Join us for this Midweek with Mark where our Director, Mark Weathington, will shatter these illusions and show off some of the stunning ornamentals you didn't realize were edible!
Don’t just assume every part of each plant is edible, particularly without some cooking or preparation, and be sure to see Mark’s disclaimer in the video!
