So what? Majority of the population try to preserve their culture and religion as much as possible. But, Muslim rulers were not able convert all Hindus in Indian subcontinent. But, they always converted non Hindus and non-Muslims to Islam. No one can deny that fact. Because Islam as a religion encourage Muslims to convert non Muslims to Muslim. Please read the history almost all Muslim rulers tried to convert Hindus through wrong ways starting from Mohammad Bin Khaseem who was the first Muslim invader to attack Hindustan till today it is happening. Please read the history of Mohammad Bin Khaseem, Mohammad Ghazni Mohammad Ghori, Bhaktiyar Khilji Allauddeen Khilji, Delhi sultanates, Timour, Lodhis, Yulqkhs, Mughals, Abdalis Babur, Akbar, Aurangzeb, Abdalees, Tippu Sultans, Brahman Sultans, Nader Shah etc. No Hindu rulers tried to forcibly convert Muslims till date. But, Muslims always converted to Hindus. That's why you find crores of Muslims in present day Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India.
