this is 94. jons voice was still very strong around this time, just listen to the 95 gigs. he made the decision not to sing the high notes on prayer after the slippery when wet tour, for fear of damaging his voice. he still had the range but didn't want to risk burning his voice out again. maybe this was the reasoning behind the accoustic version on prayer, a song he could nail live without the help of a crowd.
check out bremen 2000 and cologne 2001 always, his voice was still very good, just with a little less power and an older sound. you can still hear his 1992-1996 voice in there.
Bon jovi songs are way better than guns & roses. I don't know why gun's & roses are being rank better than jon. November rain and sweet child of mine is their only popular song in our country. Unlike jon he has alot more popular song's here. Specially " ALWAYS".
@@dontdamnme3727 maybe gnr is more talented than bnj in terms of singing but when we talk about music Jon's music is way better than gnr. Gnr concern in our country sucks.
yups... it's just they left the band, before the greatest ballad of the band went worldwide famous.. so if we see the live video of them play those hits, it's a rare live video...
Sino me equivoco esta es la última vez que Jhon canto Always en su tono original, por que de ahi siempre le bajaba de tono!! Mi canción favorita ALWAYS 😍
Good to hear this again at last! I remember hearing this song for the first time on TOTP and really liking it. I've never liked the album version where for some unfathomable reason, they got rid of Richie's harmony over the bridge and chorus. The album version sucks. This is how it should always have sounded (only with better sound quality!) ;)
this was my song I liked in the 90s and now Stephen Clarke and garry whiting from Leicester we both are now ever so very proper gay partners forever and yes I do like heavy metals songs in the 90s when I was with my dad watching top of the pops on a Thursday night and we both very same music and proper stuff too
@steveC101 i've gotta say i've seen them live twice (2006 & 2008) and both times jon's voice was top notch. I would even go as far as to say it hasn't changed, but I accept his voice can't be as good as it was back then in 95, (especially after cigarettes, alcohol and 26 yrs+ of singing) but its still bloody good. Much better than any of the haters and critics would like to believe
As a Bon Jovi fan I remember buying this single and thinking "is this a joke?" It sounded like he just rearranged the words to "I Will Always Love You." Apart From These Days every album they made from this point was crap.
Would it be of help to JBJ if he was wearing in ear during his peak years so that he can hit the high notes without overusing his voice? What do you think?
This is truly a difficult song to sing on the original key. Jon already is struggling singing some parts of the song even though they have just recorded and released the song at that point in time

One of the hardest songs to sing. He nailed it back then.
Bon Jovi SHOULD be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!
And now it´s time! April 2018!
I think he is now. It’s 2021
1992-1995 were Jon's best "vocal years".
96-2000 was also good but the band didn't perform concerts in 97,98 and 99 and didn't perform always in 2000
86,88,89,90,92,93,94,95,

@@expertz also the arnhem 2000
Damn, Jon still had an epic range then.
0:50 the way his bandmates stares at him waiting him to hit high notes, obviously that his bandmates are amazed at him
He nailed it then, he's nailing it today! Still today he sing this song with full lungs!! Great Jon!!
Only two my favorite Rock. Bon Jovi and Guns N Roses

Always is always one of the hardest song of all time...try to sing it and you'll find it's difficult believe me

Who's bassist ?? Alec ??
Yeah
@gojira931 yeah you're right!!!!!!!! grr
@amywhirlybird 25th june? wtf my brithday!
At the time he used to wear cowboys boots
isn't the same playback he used in Niagara TOTP program??? did BJ record alternative versions of Always that sounded like live performances?
ficolossale no this one wasnt playback . He sang it live here and he playbacked from this performance in niagara
@gojira931 not true.
just yesterday i watched the 1995 concert live in london (wembly stadium) and he hit all those high notes in livin on a prayer.
一瞬口パクかと思うほど上手いな
Minus Band..
