it's under Early Access for a little bit until the developers are happy with the state of the game. They're adding a lot of features in the future that's gonna need a lot of feedback, so No Rest For The Wicked is under EA.
I cant stand most soulslike games I rarely find the punishment more than frustrating and I dont think I have neither the temper or the time to sit for hours on end trying to memorize the patterns of all enemies. Its a pity, cause im sure that there is great stories and experiences to be had in all of these. This one interests me in particular since its from the developers of Ori which I loved playing... But getting shit on from the second you load up the game, feeling its more down to you lacking stamina for everything while you get punished for carrying anything around... its just a hassle and it ruins the whole thing for me.
I felt the same way when I played my first souls like game which was Lies Of P. Before playing it, I found NOTHING enjoyable about raging and getting annihilated as soon as you start playing as well. I said "whatever, let's try it anyway" and ended up having more fun than I thought because of the story. whenever I beat a boss after HOURS of perfecting my fights, it ended up feeling more rewarding than I thought. It's not for everyone, I understand how you feel. but MAYBE... No Rest For The Wicked might be your exception 👀 haha if you do consider it, wait until after early access cause the game is a bit of a mess right now.
Looks great, but I'll wait for it to be out of EA
good idea haha
