Soooo very nice when Kuya Luis talked about acknowledging all the effort he made in training where there were no cameras and no applause. He's right, those are the moments when the heart and mind of an athlete gets tested for real. Champions are always built, they are never born that way and have to work for years to get where they are.

Tama sinabi ni Luis. Di natin nakita lahat ng struggle ni Carlos behind the camera kaya kung ano man sya ngayon dahil yun sa mga pinagdaanan nyang hirap at sakit. Sa mga taong naniwala at naniwala sa kanya yun ang nagsilbing inspirasyon nya.
Bakit alam nyo din ba ang struggle ng magulang sa araw araw. Yong binigay na sakit nun anak magulang nya. Walang panalo dito.

Nice ang ganda ng interview it only focus on Caloy, his journey and success plus kulitan galing mo Luis.
Sa mga nagpupumilit pa rin na ikonekta yung pamilya nya magtigil na kayo. Sabi nga nya napatawad na nya yung mama nya. Pwede kang magpatawad na hindi na mo na ulit kakausapin yung tao na yun kumbaga isasara mo na yung chapter na yun ng buhay mo at mag move forward. Ngayon kung mag-reconcile man sila edi better pero kung hindi wala na tayong pake dun basta si Caloy napatawad na nya mama nya and hindi nya pinagsalitaan ng masama sa harap ng media.
Carlos deserved to be appreciated kasi dugo't pawis nya pinanglaban pra sa Pilipinas. Sana yun family issues iset aside ng mga tsismosa dahil unang una hndi nman related sa sports ang tsismis. Wala nman kau pakialaman qng ano nangyari sa buhay nyan kasi di nman kau kasama nyan simula ngstart sya..Hindi nyo din alam qng ano nging struggle nya. Sabi nga binebless ni God yun may mabuting puso..Oh kung masamang anak yan si Carlos eh di sana hindi yan nanalo at hindi mo mkikita qng gaano sya kasaya sa mga totoong nagmamahal at nagpapasaya sa kanya.. Kaya nga Good Job kay Luis dahil matino ang interview nya..

I hope that Luis and Caloy further elaborate the issue about mental health. How he cope and give importance to his well being. It is important for the young athlete to know that aspect especially if they are inspiring to be like Carlos Yulo. I also want to see a deep and another facets of this interview. I like to know and see more of Caloy's personality and aspirations as an athlete and a role model.

@@JelynAguilar-r8f yes.. npakabata pa ni Carlos Yulo. Only 24 yrs old? Tapos ganun yung na-experience nya sa family nya particularly sa mother nya. Mabuti na lng may mga nagbigay sa kanya ng support outside his family na mlaki ang naitulong sa mental health nya.
Carlos admitted that he got depressed while in Japan and even wanted to just disappear in this world. Imagine being so young in a foreign country, away from friends and family, cannot even communicate well with people around you, all alone and all you can do is just train and train. Thank God he survived that and he seems to be in a much better place now mentally and emotionally.

He actually did an interview with Ms. Bernadette Sembrano where Caloy mentioned he had intrusive thoughts of suicide while he was in Japan. It was hearbreaking to hear to be honest. He was just a young man back then fighting his own demons. That's why he is always vocal about prioritizing mental health.

hindi ako ngcocoment sa mga social media regarding sa family issue nila kasi makuyog din ako ng mga boomers na hindi nila naiintindihan ang pakiramdam ng isang anak na tinakwil, sinumpa at sinisiraan ng isang mismong ina at hindi sinuportahan. grabe ang sakit nun, kaya ramdam kita carlos. ranas ko yan, kami ng mama ko ok na kami pero hindi ko alam biglang mag flashback lahat ng sakit and how she treated me at naghahagolgol pa rin ako sa iyak hanggang ngayon pag bigla maalala. yung i chismis at sisiraan ka sa sarili mong nanay, yung sabihan ka sa mismong nanay mo na gagapang ka sa lupa hindi ka aasenso, para kang buhay na nilibing sa hukay nun. diba dapat ang nanay ang unang susuporta sa atin? bilib lang ako kay carlos kasi kinaya nya lahat yun plus mga batikos ng mga makikitid na utak at one sided. kudos sayo carlos marami kamimg naka suporta sayo.

We don't know the real truth behind the dispute between Carlos and his family but God has his own way of showing who has the genuine golden heart we just need to discern.
