  • Flowers are not the only thing that can make a garden beautiful! Listen up as Tony tells us about this amazing “Sausage Tree,” or 𝘒𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘢. This plant typically prefers more tropical climates but can survive in our coastal San Diego environment! Think about adding this plant to your home garden, be careful though, these fruits can weigh up to 20 pounds and are poisonous! Come and see this beauty in our Tropical Rainforest near the lower pond.

No. It has to be prepared a certain way. As a whole fruit, it's poisonous. When it dries, it looks like a sponge.
