DIY Natural Face Foundation:
Benefits:
• Provides a uniform skin tone
• Gives skin a smooth surface
• Enhances & holds make-up
Face foundation using cocoa and cinnamon:
1. Take 1 tbsp of corn starch powder in a bowl
2. Add ½ tsp of cocoa powder in it
3. Also add ½ tsp cinnamon powder. You may even add nutmeg
powder instead
4. Add 1 tsp almond oil
5. Finally add 5 drops of jojoba essential oil
6. Mix this thoroughly
If you find that the foundation is pale, than you can add ANOTHER ½ TSP OF cocoa powder in it. This will make a great powder face foundation, that you can apply with a makeup brush.
Face foundation using arrowroot and wheat grass powder:
Wheat grass powder works great for people who have more excessive red pigments
1. Take 1 tbsp of arrowroot powder in a bowl
2. Now add ½ tsp of cocoa powder in it
3. Add ½ tsp cinnamon powder
4. Add ½ tsp ginger powder
5. Add 1 tsp wheat grass powder
6. Add 1 tsp almond oil
7. Mix this thoroughly
8. Transfer in a dry container
Tips:
• Test before using to avoid allergic reactions
• Clean & moisturize skin before application

She should test the stuff she makes on camera
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing
r u kidding me! can you please apply this to your face next time.
Why dont u test it on someone's face so that we can have an idea of how to apply and how will it actually look..
Thanks :)
I tried foundation 1. I bought the ingredients posted, followed the directions and found that it does not work. It clumps in mixing bowl and when applied with a makeup brush makes a mess. I tried making it a liquid by adding more almond oil and it turned a dark chocolate color and would not spread on face. It made patched sections on my skin and felt more like a facial sugar scrub.
An easy way to make foundation is to put some moisturizer in your face powder
+barbara cordero I just tried this following her exact instruction for the foundation with cornstarch, cocoa powder, cinnamon powder, almond oil and jojoba oil. It DID NOT work at all. First of all it was the color of dark chocolate. I'm not African so this is waaaaay too dark for me. Then I tried to fix it by adding more cornstarch and almond oil. I still couldn't get it to be any lighter in color. But the bigger problem is the texture...I could see the cinnamon powder grains in the foundation. This is not even close to being a make-up foundation. Such as waste of good ingredients. And these oils aren't cheap, so its a waste of good money too.
Lillian Russo yeah I tried it also and the results were HORRIBLE
+Sugarbunny Its terrible when people post things that clearly don't work. I'm now noticing she has lots of comments saying this didn't work. I wish I had read all the comments before I tried her formula. She should really remove this video to keep others from wasting their time and money.
Homeveda - Home Remedies for You! please take this video down it is FALSE INFORMATION
You forgot your last line! "This will cost you more that actual foundation!!"
😂
Jazzy /CittySimba lol 😂😂😂😂
Jazzy /CittySimba its very inexpensive actually, epecially for the quality.
😂😂😂😂
Even if it is (which adding your time it porbably is) who the hell cares. The idea is to make it homemade. You dont want to dont
It would be cool if you tried the products on.
The trick is to use less than half of the cocoa powder and none of the oils. We're not baking a chocolate cake here to create a paste consistency lol. You can add turmeric or sandalwood to create a golden undertone too. The cornstarch absorbs oils so it's ridiculous to add oils into this recipe. This is a powder foundation. Plenty of other youtube videos do the recipe correctly. I would guess 1 spoon cornstarch, 1/4 tsp cocoa powder, and 1/4 tsp of turmeric or sandalwood powder. Mix together and use a large powder brush to apply
+BhavZ saw you at sophiastyled or that other chick
Angel Chan huh?? saw me where?
BhavZ somewhere else you said the powder has zero coverage
Angel Chan I tried mixing cornstarch with cocoa powder and turmeric and whatnot but I just felt like it was not sustainable in all conditions (like in the summer or when you sweat, etc.), and yes generally there is no coverage for this- it's just a setting powder. So now I use regular liquid foundation and set it with corn starch, works like a charm! :)
BhavZ Nice! what i did was baby powder withhot chocolate powder(i didn't have any cocoa)(a little sticky but overall okay) then added lots of moistruizer or face cream and it also works great!
Suggestion: Show how it looks while applying with the brush and also how the model looks after wearing it as it is very imp to have consistency while applying a foundation
thanks its really works
wow awesome I wish you could demonstrate the application so well so we could see how it looks
Arrowroot doesn't give coverage if you want coverage use zinc oxide and titanic oxide with clay this gives a full coverage and I use yellow oxide and aurora oxide for colour works perfectly I haven't bought store make up in long time
these are not usual ingredients people have at home or kitchen which is perhaps main reason they are not mentioned. If using these things it also is a sunblock too.
I still havent tried a 'DIY' recipee for dry shampoo that also used cocoa powder and tbh, think my daughter (only one with brown hair) is very keen to be my crash test dummy lol.....Im like omg, but youll get to smell like chocolate! haha
I'm a brown-yellow woman...i need your help pls

***** Do share your experience with us.
Do a video on how to lighten Dark Hair x
you can make it by mixing sunblock, cornstarch and cocoa powder
How wonderful! But how do you store it and how long does it last for.
It would be nice to see how these look on a couple of people...different skin colors, and different ages.. before we spend the money on the ingredients. ..Also, having a review done by several people would also be Very Helpful. ..Thank you
How long will this keep? Thank you for sharing!
racken00 As these are natural ingredients they absorb and blend well in the skin and thus this foundation will stay as long as 8 to 10 hours.
Hello! Why don't you show the completed foundation and swatch it so we can see the consistency of it?
It would have been great if you would have swatched it as well
Maryjoe Nnakaenyi what? :D
i have very very very dry skin around my eyes i get wrinkles because of that, can you do a tutorial for an eyecream which hydrates and anti aging too ?? thank you
I have been a subscriber to your channel for over one year now. I enjoy them very much. I would enjoy the videos more if you would demonstrate your recipes so that viewers can see the results. This may extend the time of your videos, however the additional content will be appreciated. Thank you.

Cinnamon is an irritant.
wish I'd read this before I did it. I'm not allowed to put cosmetics over the rash on my face and we'll yknow
yes I made cinnamon face mask and my face was red!
oh yes.. even dry ginger! i was pretty shocked she mentioned that to use in the foundation
JasminaH correct
Right.
This is the video I've been waiting for!!! I love this channel :D I have to try this asap, just for the sake of it.. My only concern is the cinnamon and ginger powder on the face, l imagine it would add the tingly feeling and l am a bit afraid of that with my sensitive skin.. but l think I will see after application? I have to hunt down arrowroot powder, I can't get it anywhere, it seems I have to get it online.. Thanks for making this video and please do more of beauty series, that would be very well appreciated :) Thanks and have a nice day!
RealsleepyheadzzZZ Please do share your feedback. Also, test it on a patch before using it. If you have sensitive skin, go easy on ginger..
You should have showed us how it works and looks on the skin and tested it in the video
what is arrow root powder? how do we get it?
Hi!!! i loved your recipe! i'm about to try this but i want to ask you something first, about the first recipe, does it has to be jojoba essential oil?? i have a few essential oils but i don't have one, can i use another one instead?? and the almond oil, same question, does it has to be almond?? could it be coconut? olive? thank you!!
May as well go and buy a foundation
The fondation is really smooth and nice but its not the right tone for my skin
I like it
your very pretty
I loveeee your recipe and videos but in the first recipe, wouldn't the almond oil cause a breakout?
J Goh Do a patch test. In excessive oily skin their could be this problem.
I'm sorry, but I have a question about an old remedie for weak memory, which cinnamon we should use (ceylon or Cassia)?
Thank you :)
I love her accent
How do I do it if I'm really white? Do I skip the cocoa and cinnamon powder?
Nice video, btw.
how to store the first remedy foundation?
do another video showing how you use it
She should've modeled the foundation.
yes u r rt...n d cocoa powder wud not melt???
yes u r rt...n d cocoa powder wud not melt???
yes u r rt...n d cocoa powder wud not melt???
I don't think the cocoa powder would melt. I've seen people use it as impromptu bronzer.
I agree
I would only make this if you tried it out on your skin and face.
Cool powder recipe, but the instructions to create a liquid foundation was a complete fail. I will use this strange-looking paste as a mask before bed tonight....
I use raw cacao powder on my face as makeup! Suits my skin perfect and I smell like hot chocolate when I wash it off 😄
This is cool
it is very nice recipes
Can you show a video of you applying the homemade foundation on?
kashe Will surely try. Meanwhile even you can try this out and share a video on how to apply this foundation on our facebook page.
Hi can u tell instead of cornstarch we can use cornflour plz tell me....
I just made the powder with the three key ingredients without oil but after applying this the face feels very dry due to cornstarch.. isn't it harmful?
It will b much better if u will show the shade of foundation... And a demo
Varun Sharma Sure we are soon going to put up application videos on our website to keep a track please register bit.ly/hmvcomm.
It didn't work. It was way to dark for me and it felt like I was putting on a face scrub because of the cinnamon
Litterately I only have the coco powder and cinimen
Is jojoba oil is important to make homemade face foundation? It is not available here.
nxt time you make a vid make sure you demonstrate the usage of the product
Can i change the cornstarch with baking powder or flour
Would it be okay if I left out the essential oils and jojoba oil I only got coconut oil and Shea butter would that work?
Can we use olive oil instead almond oil??
@Meena Sharma Thank you! please share it with your friends and family as well. The red marks you are talking about, i guess those are stretch marks. Here are few remedies that will help you get rid of these www.homeveda.com/beauty-and-wellness/natural-ayurvedic-home-remedies-for-stretch-marks.html . If these are not stretch marks than please consult a doctor first to know what is causing them.
Hi. I've tried this and it comes out to dark. What can I do?
This doesn't work! I'm disappointed.
what happened to your powder foundation video
Do we need to use the essential oil?
Hi..i tried it exactly with same ingredients n same measurements it DOESN'T work....
hello, i used the second recipe and this does not turn into a foundation.... its as if im trying to speared wet sand on my face. how do you take away the gritty texture? also in your concealer video when you say to use "the homemade foundation" that looks nothing like what i got and whats in your video here. is there a recipe for that? it look so smooth and the same color as my skin.
I love u yaar u r amazing 😘😘😘
what to do for light skin?
the concealer and foundation looks patchy on me always
the make up looks too forced on
even professionals have tried for many weddings and all!
can you suggest some thing more transparent
ps:the profile pic has no make up but just a liner on
tnx for it ...but the color is too dark
whats a good substitute for cinnamon powder im allergic to cinnamon
does anyone know any makeup available in the uk for hyperpigmentated skin? thanks.
I want to know about dry skin,ke liye kya karna chahiye, itching bhi bahut hoti hai
Is there any expiry to all these products you make
Is the foundation you are wearing in this video the one you made?
Can i use that to cover the redness of rosacea?
Were did I hear that jahoba oil makes you break out?
Hey, i don't have wheat grass powder. What can i put insteed?
What if your foundation comes out too dark. How can you make it pale?
oil and water do not mix, the last product you made was not my favorite :/
Awesum
