Still have my gmt 16750. Bought it in 1984.
Hello, can you tell me the book you are using as a reference? Than you.
Got my 16700 brand new in 1998 as a 30th birthday present. It's not surprising that they have increased in value but the amount is. It's an absolute classic. I will never sell it. One of my children will inherit it.
And they will sell it lol
Congrats Anders, a remarkable Rolex! I’m so happy for you, it’s a keeper!!👏🏻👏🏻🤩😍
Thank you Torben. I hope you enjoy your Explorer 2 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great Video! where did you get that GMT history book? Thank you.
Looks like u got the hands exchanged also.
Definitely worth way more than $12k…if you can find one. Great watch 👍
I'm fairly certain you've since sold this watch. As the watch I'm wearing right now looks identical to yours but with a Jubilee bracelet.....and yes, the Tritium ages differently, hands on mine look exactly the same. Mine is an E-Serial, 8XX series serial number...could I have your old watch?
If you didn't sell it, then it's the proof I need to show, without a doubt, that the hands age differently and are original.
EDITED TO ADD: Just checked your Instagram - you still have the watch! Sheesh, could put yours beside mine and they look identical...exact same patina on hands and dial - fascinating!
Hi Andrew. Yes I still own the GMT. I will never part with that one. Its very interesting that your’s has the same difference in patina. I did read that its a thing - something with the paint used for the hands.
Best regards,
Anders

@@TimeAndCrown If you have an email, I will send you a pic of my watch, it's uncanny how similar the hands and dials are...let me know if there's a way to email or DM you - thanks.
PS - you on TRF forum?

Those hands look replaced. Beautiful watch!
They are original. It’s a known issue with tritium that it dosn’t age the same way.
Completely normal : 2 differents suppliers.
Beautiful GMT.
That’s worth more than 12k
First!
