Baby Bristlenose Catfish feeding on pumpkin. I boil the pumpkin first, puree it, and then freeze it in ice cube trays.
The tea strainer is used to weigh down the frozen cubes of food until they have defrosted and no longer float. I find this method keeps the water cleaner and less cloudy than just dropping the frozen cubes in the tank. Turning off the water filter until feeding has finished also helps with the water quality.
Also effective with frozen peas (cooked then pureed, and don't waste your time shelling them), kale, spinach etc.
