If an end user has V9 or 10 installed and is given an MER or APA file made in V11, will these methods work to identify it before he tries to put it into his PV+ running V9? Our experience has been that trying to using an older version of View Application Manager on an APA or MER made in a newer version will fail. For that matter, it would be nice if the Transfer Utility identified the firmware version of a target PV+ terminal BEFORE trying to download an MER created with a version newer than that installed on the terminal. It's a criminal waste of time to see the MER successfully transferred, wait two minutes for the terminal to reboot, only to have it report it cannot use the MER because it's a version it does not understand.
