She does if you untie her braid, remove her glasses. That white hair you see, is the small highlight hair that was braided on her side. I dont know why you didnt saw those obvious signs.

The game has always been yuri and waifu simulator (to an extent) in the beginning. Part 1.5 feels more like waifu simulator just because there's no big plot going on and they gotta make contents. If you don't like it, honestly this game isn't for you. About male dreamseeker, yeah this is one of the reason but the bigger reason is CN community don't like the existence of any male playables in the game (since playables have always been female in the beginning). Mihoyo once asked CN players if they want male playables in game and they got bashed so hard they had to compensate crystals.
