absolutely excellent. thank you for this. the original is a long-time favourite and this is a real treat to watch. i also learned a lot while at the same time noticing many of my own tricks. nice to both have technique validated and learn something new. i look forward to the next one!
Great to see the whole process especially the plug-ins you use. I don't have the UAD plug-ins, but since ADE'17 I have officially the iZotope 8 Music Production bundle (not to compare them with the UAD plugins) which I'm learning now, as I'm still in a "years and years" learning process after having the focus more on dj-ing the last 15 years. But I think the main thing is; "How do I get the ideas in my head into a great releaseable track" and then it all comes down to the ears and it doesn't matter what plug-ins you use if you can work with it and understand what it does. long story short.... again failed!
Yes Eelke i found it hard to believe thats all you done to this track for it to be ready for commercial release. Not much eqing, compression, saturation etc. How did you make it so big sounding without these stages? Thanks
Cool stuff! Excited for more episodes...you should put your modular layout up on www.modulargrid.net so we can see all the modules you have. I was able to make out most of them on the left side but not all of them :) Only takes a few minutes too with their drag and drop/search features.
This song inspired me to imagine abstract world with strong body feeling in same time, and i kept imagine until i wrote a something like thoughts or you can say it's: Free poetry style in (Surreal) mode. unfortunately it's in Arabic language you may not understand it, but i will put it in comment anyway.
Esteban Liebig just a tiny bit of reverb and delay and I take out the bass for both of those in the effect unit. It differs with each track but this one is quite straightforward, no other processing apart from what you see in the video!
