    'Saint' Francis Xavier, in whose name many Christian schools and colleges are being run in India, wrote the following in a letter to Rome about breaking Hindu temples:
    "When all are baptized I order all the temples of their false gods to be destroyed and all the idols to be broken in pieces. I can give you no idea of the joy I feel in seeing this done, witnessing the destruction of the idols by the very people who but lately adored them."- The Life And Letters Of St. Francis Xavier, Volume 1, Book II, Chapter IV, Page 281, by Coleridge, Henry James, 1822-1893

    This is how Al-Jahiz, a 9th-century Arab scholar, has described Indian Culture:
    "As regards the Indians, they are among the leaders in astronomy, mathematics- in particular, they have Indian numerals and medicine; they alone possess the secrets of the latter, and use them to practise some remarkable forms of treatment. They have the art of carving statues and painted figures. They possess the game of chess, which is the noblest of games and requires more judgment and intelligence than any other. They make Kedah swords, and excel in their use. They have splendid music, including that of the kankala, an instrument with a single string mounted on a gourd, which takes the place of the many-stringed lute and cymbals. They know a number of sprightly dances, and are versed in magic and fumigation. They possess a script capable of expressing the sounds of all languages, as well as many numerals. They have a great deal of poetry, many long treatises, and a deep understanding of philosophy and letters; the book Kalila wa-Dimna (Panchatantra) originated with them. They are intelligent and courageous, and have more good qualities than the Chinese. Their sound judgment and sensible habits led them to invent pins, cork, toothpicks, the drape of clothes and the dyeing of hair. They are handsome, attractive and forbearing, their women are proverbial, and their country produces the matchless Indian aloes which are supplied to kings. They were the originators of the science of fikr, by which a poison can be counteracted after it has been used, and of astronomical reckoning, subsequently adopted by the rest of the world."

    Pierre Simon de Laplace, a French mathematician whose name is familiar to every mathematician, physicist and engineer in the world, wrote about India:
    "It is India that gave us the ingenious method of expressing all numbers using ten characters, giving these numbers simultaneously a value absolute and a value of position; a fine and important idea, which seems so simple now, that we hardly appreciate its merit. But this very simplicity, the extreme ease resulting in all calculations, place our system of arithmetic in the first rank of useful inventions; and we appreciate the difficulty of achieving this, considering that it escaped the genius of Archimedes and Apollonius, two of the greatest and most honored men of antiquity."
    From: Pierre-Simon Laplace, Exposition du Système du Monde, Vol. 2 (1798), Page 264, Chapter: De l'Astronomie ancienne, jusqu'à la fondation de l'école d'Alexandrie.

    The islamo-leftism combination which has dominated india is the reason why there was so much contradictions and confusion in our foreign policy existed until the modi government came to power in 2014.......this bizarre islamo-leftism ecosystem which is very unique exists ONLY in India alone and is not seen anywhere else in the world has been established and nurtured by both Pakistan and China since our independence with ample support from India's corrupt politicians this ecosystem dominates our media, judiciary, administration, law and order, politics. One prime example of this islamo-leftism construct is the control of hindu temples under government and still continues today despite BJP being in power for more than ten years.....this itself shows the power and reach of this islamo-leftism ecosystem

      1) let's make india a Christian country.
      2) it will be great if india is idol free
      3) let's try to convert all non-christians.
      Now, this is done by all major religions. Hindus normally don't. But that's because Hindus do not know their own religion. They don't have a well defined theology. They DO NOT have confidence in their own religion.
      Tell me, what's wrong in trying to promote something that you are sure is good for the society.
      Most of the most developed and peaceful and powerful countries are Christian.
      Hinduism offers non of the advantages to their followers.

    What i understood about this conversation is:
    India wanted to be a member of some NSG ( nuclear group), but the pre requisite was that india needed to showcase its military and civil installation ( reactor/ storage / arsenal)
    But india didn't delivered or built those facilities.
    Now on a certain union meeting, indian representative addressed with falsified or trash information, ( possibly forign office) .
    And hence india is denied with the so called NSG membership.

    #askabhijit Sorry if it might sound like a stupid question. Can a Russian fighterjet beat the US counterpart in an aerial battle? Western countries claim Russian fighterjets are not upto the mark and cannot stand a chance against modern US Fighterjets because of lacking of modern technology. Why are Russian fighterjets so rugged? Is it a good thing? EurAsian Times previously reported a Russian Sukhoi Su-34 ground attack/bomber aircraft having civilian US-made satellite navigation receivers taped to their dashboards, What is the truth to it? And if Russian fighterjets are not so advanced and the best, Do you think India made a good choice in purchasing the Su0Mkis?

      Russian and USA aircraft are almost the same except in visual combat in visual combat Russian SU fighters are the best .....
      So if we say in overall that they are similar strength which I belive they are Pilot is the deciding factor not the airplane .... if you have shit pilot against good pilot than shit pilot will lose ....
      And weapons are not the same ....if you import for example SaM missile S400 it is not the same S 400 what Russian military have .... S400 which is made for Russian military is way better than exported version ....

    Why Abhijit have to always bring something sexual in damn serious topics? Like fallatio today. I have watched many of his podcasts. He has good knowledge, but it looks too forced always blaming ppl unnecessarily for homophobia and bringing something sexual in between out of context. When he does a show with Sham and all , it makes sense, bcz they all talk in the similar way. But here or any other serious shows like Smitha Prakash ones, it is so unnecessary for him to do that. It is not fun.

    Why can India not put to vote a UNSC permanent seat for itself?

    • @stupidburp
      @stupidburp Год назад +1

      India was offered one before but declined on the manipulation of the Soviets. The USA pushed hard on India’s behalf to get a permanent seat but in the end India would not even fight for it themselves. It is a symptom of seeing the Soviets and then Russia as some kind of paternal replacement for official colonial master. The US had hoped thst India would have an independent attitude as the USA did when they gained independence from the UK themselves. Instead India just replaced the direct rule of the UK with indirect rule by the Soviets. After the fall of the Soviet Union policies didn’t really change that much and just continued through bureaucratic inertia. There should have been a fundamental shift internally but it was instead mostly tweaking on the outside of the core government.

      @@stupidburp Fine. But why not put to it to vote today in UN? What is stopping Jaishankar?

    • @stupidburp
      @stupidburp Год назад +4

      Even as the US tried fought for India’s permanent UNSC seat and the Soviets fought against it, the public opinion in India was the opposite of that. There was much positive sentiment and media coverage of the Soviets and negative sentiment and media towards the USA. This then led to US politicians largely ignoring India for many years after that. The perception in the USA was that if India chooses to follow the Soviets and not lead for themselves then they are effectively a puppet state and not worth taking seriously.
      Then China relations became warmer and India missed the boat. Huge numbers of lobbyists from China were in the US and almost none from India. India ignored the USA and the USA ignored India on a diplomatic level. It wasn’t until the 21st century when this finally started to shift and relations were worked on by both sides. The US was never against India in principle. It was simply an unfortunate misperception on both sides due to diplomatic neglect.

      This neglect of diplomatic relations with many other countries is as said in the interview, hugely impactful on the interests and prosperity of India. Saving money on diplomatic missions lost vastly more money in missed opportunities over decades.
