Well said. Im sure It's very difficult to seperate the excitement and remembering why we're in there - to help and test the game. I'm just looking forward to being hit by the riverlands theme! Great video 👍
Honestly it wasn't for me, I played about one hour and quitted, I don't think I will play until it's more polished, or might not even play it anymore, for a game that it's been developed for almost 10 years I was expecting a little more, it's an alpha I get it but common... Again, almost 10 years... I'm more excited about Archeage Chronicles and GTA 6 right now, I might play throne and liberty in the meanwhile waiting for those games, I hope I change my mind about ashes since I paid a lot of money to play it but it's unlike
Having a good time is always a matter of mindset, regardless of what you're talking about. Some people are going in planning to be unhappy. My only concern is "where the hell is the early email for Nov 8 buyers Steven" 🤣 So many streams to watch this weekend to make me jealous!!
Got in for a couple of hours today before work and loved it! Fighter and movement feels good even at low level. More than enough to do to get started and exploring
And a chunk of people saying this are trying to gaslight others when they criticize the game. "It's not the game, its an Alpha. You are at fault for expecting so much." When the game has been in development for more than 7 Years.
@@YoSomePerson I'm not defending their managerial fuckups. They're late with this alpha cause the true development has only been going for ~3 years. But this is still alpha and people are still not ready for that fact. You can both critique the bad dev time and still look at this as an alpha and not a full game. But people will expect a full game and will complain from that pov
@@Ludullu As long as "this is an alpha" is not being used for excusing non acceptable game breaking issues, i don't see the issue with stating that this is an alpha and bugs will be discovered ALOT... My fear is that people will start defending with that excuse as soon as there is any major criticque coming the dev teams way.
@@pepelaugh3993 alpha is meant to have game breaking shit. And it's gonna be about how quickly they can fix it. We're years from release, the game will have huge issues exactly because it is in the alpha stage.
So basically what he means is this game is fully complete, the final product and expect no updates for a while because all content is finished and ready
I'm going in with the mindset of "i love this and wanna see it fleshed out/fully cooked so I'm gonna find all the glitches" I went in with 0 expectations and have been having fun exploring, its gorgeous
My prediction: First weekend, tons of people come in hyped, quickly get bored and stop playing. By the second or third weekend forward only a small group of dedicated testers is left.
Pretty damn good prediction. Lets say 10k people are in this alpha 2 test. A week goes by and there will be maybe 2k testers still playing. I'll be among those 2k of dedicated testers after the first week. Count on it. My name is Arkamere if you ever see me in game later. I play NA servers
I'm also thinking this and actually excited for a few less people in a few weeks, i wanna see this game succeed badly and if it's full of 10k people whining about an unfinished product then that's not helpful, we literally paid hundreds to access this so I'm amazed at the complaints already, we legit paid *to test it* and find everything
I think at least half my guild understands it's about the testing. The other half? Meh, likely to bail from the disappointment despite being told their expectations are wrong. I don't think I'll miss any of them.
Wave 0 is technically people who purchased pre-order packs before Jan. 17th of this year are getting in tomorrow. Key holders will get in Nov 8th for Wave 1. Hope this helps...
first phase will be a shit show haha it already kinda is in prealpha2 but ay its a start of an test what else can be expected.. thats what im not really planing to play alot untill phase3 when game is much more stable and less buggy

Absolutely
Thankfully, I’m a role-play who’s interested in learning more about the lore as opposed to the final product right now so I think I’ll be good

you test it brother, so yes, play when its more polished. It's an alpha, not a fully released game

Yeah, I agree! Excited for what's coming!
Two concerns I have ... Add a mouse sensitivity setting and Mark the damn vendors .

So I've got an alpha two wave 1 key that won't activate until Nov 8. Is that correct? Was there a wave 0 I missed?

Yep... been playing for two weeks now!

I use to get paid to test games not going to do the opposite now...
The game is already a flop. MMORPGs are officially dead. What an awful time.
