- At first it was very calm, but then the rain came down extremely quickly and without warning. There was flash flooding on every block.
Filmed during the morning of August 11, 2018 on 30th Avenue in Astoria, Queens, NYC from Steinway Street to Crescent Street.

I've been in enough storms to know @ 0:03 that 8:29 is going to happen at some point. SOMEDAY, I'm going to walk COMPLETELY NAKED through some part of NYC during a daytime storm where the rainfall level is @ anywhere between 2:45 - 4:00 (or harder).

Wow! Remember my first thunderstorm in the US. I thought it would be okay to walk 5 blocks home, but i quickly regretted it when the wind took my umbrella right out of my hand. Great vid as always!

The sound is very relaxing of the rain but you're definitely more braver than me walking in a thunderstorm they scare me lol
When I'm inside my house I doesn't scare me but when I'm out it scares me because of the lightning can strike me sometimes!
The best time for a walk like this would be in autumn. The colors of the leaves AND the rain. Tranquility...

Love to see the rain in the big city, washes all the crud and filth away and leaves that clean smell, well clean for the busy city. Wow this looks like a Deluge, better dive into a café for some warm food and a rest for awhile.

Thank you for the commitment and discomfort while shooting this. I felt like I wad there window shopping and looking for warm corners to get out of the storm. Surprised how few franchise stores there were. So many options of cute unique places to visit for a bite to eat and shop.

About 4:50 it's like really heavy and swamped but it's not marked..really enjoying it though, loads. Never seen this before as I find 85+% of the time thunderstorms and rain recordings really helps me to get to sleep..🙂

Yeah... last night and this morning (especially) were pretty rough. There's been a lot of flash floods as of late over here. The thunder and rain actually woke me up this morning, before the alarm went off.
That bold of lightning was very close at around 8.30, I am sure I heard the spark discharge as I saw the flash, it must have been within 300 Metres or less.
