That engine sounds and just the look of the car is amazing
@Prodigy Rezz, the rx7 and rx8 both came with a 13b, Mazda Eunos Cosmo came with the 20b.
All you hear is that limiter... And it's amazing!!

Yes actually I am from NZ, and am involved in the drifting circle (D1NZ here). I havent seen them do anything to this car, but I know many of the guys will do quick fixes to the cars for comps. Mike would have plenty of spares being so heavily sponsored but welding repairs are not uncommon.
Its just the smoke from the tyres thats got into the cockpit.

We had a rx2 with a 12a pp ( carby too ) that reved up to 13,000
but my brothers V8 ute revs to 9 and a half ;)

Cole Armstrong's ER34 and Bruce Tannock's S13 are some of the coolest D1NZ cars besides Mad Mike's.
I would love to see him back in maybe FD Japan, he didn't do so well in FD Usa, really wonder what he is up to these days

hey guys is it true that a fd3s rx7 is hard to drift or not???
that's the rotary baby.
and puts out more power, you cannot compare fuel consumption and displacement of a rotary to a piston. I have a 12at engine 1150cc that uses the same fuel as a 3.8l v6 but puts out more power.

and the funny thing is theres no turbo's strapped to that unlike every other car that competes with him lol
its not that, the more rotors the higher the pitch, a 4 rotor has the equivalent of 12 cylinders, so at the same revs the pitch is 3 times higher than a 4 cylinder and twice as high as a 6.
im not saying it doesnt rev, ;) im saying the sound isnt pure revs its more about the desgin of the engine, redline is probably still only about 8-9g at a guess

Look it up.. you never ever re-weld something thats blown under pressure, structurally weakened by the first crack. I know, i do welding at where i work. and trust me, shit flys if you even consider re welding
