I know Haohmaru was the star/face of the Samurai Shodown franchise...but Ukyo was the true star to me. His backstory and movelist were more impressive to me 😎
Been a while since I looked up the tier list for this game, but I'm pretty sure Ukyo, Charlotte, and (to a lesser degree) Kyoshiro are top tier. Ukyo is BROKEN tier in Samurai Shodown 2, with Charlotte being next in top tier.

I remember I really thought Galford would be my favorite character, but it ended up being Ukyo back then when this was still an arcade mainstay.
I'm glad he came back to life as he was playable in Samurai Shodown 2019 as he died of tuberculosis in his original storyline.
