good review. 1. After the first year does one need the ChatGPT paid version or can one use it with the free one? 2. How clear is the cellphone recording can you do a demo showing both sides of a conversation? 3. If one doesnt want to take their subscription and use ones existing chatGPT account is that possible after the 1st year?
A great device. I enjoy using mine. Unfortunately, yesterday i recorded a 2hour and 25 minute meeting. Apparently the PLAUD note is set up for a maximum of one hour segments. It did record the entire meeting but I now have three files. How am I supposed to get a transcript, summary and mind map of the entire meeting, not just the segments? Appreciate your assistance.
That's a great question to ask the Plaud support team, actually. If nothing else, you can merge the three transcription easily enough with some cut and paste, then just feed it to ChatGPT directly.
Have tried, no response from support. Additionally today, I tried to print the summary, mind map and transcript..... no way to do it! Surprising!@@AskDaveTaylor
Supply did answer and have changed the recording limit to 5 hours!@@BobSussan
Can you clarify the plans for transcription? I would not use more than the free 300 mins/mo. Is that just an introductory plan and in year 2 is there a cost for that 300 min? or is the 300 just a base plan.
I can't speak to the company's future plans, but you might ask them directly...
Do you know if the device separated the transcribed recording by person talking?
Yes it does, but it doesn't identify speakers. I suspect the latter is a feature that they can add down the road, however.
Does it need to be connected to the Internet or cell phone data to transcribe?
I believe so, since it works with a companion app on my phone.
To record you do not need internet. At your convenience when you have internet you can transcribe and summarize.
And he never speaks about the subscription we have to pay after purchasing hardware
This is a clever device and all, but why couldn't it just be an app? My phone has a microphone and clearly could perform the same function.
A very obvious question and a fair one!
It requires a subscription!? Cool product but nope.
