Oh my God Paul....here I sit in California, thinking about how to say what I feel when I hear you play. So I stop what I am doing, go to you tube, and there your, top of the page. I shut my eyes so I can only listen, and the thought enters my mind .... you are not an individual playing music, you are the the life, the soul, the living embodiment of the vision put on a page by prior genius. Never ever have I experienced such a momentous (dare I say beautiful) union. May goodness care for you.
Whether JSB or one of the Krebs wrote this Prelude and Fugue in C Major does not detract from the pleasure the music brings - and at such an exuberant tempo, Paul, you certainly get carried away with its joyous energy: B R A V O !
Excellente, very good tempo, very good music... i love it on the Rotterdam organe, bravo!... Paul is a great organiste, Philippe Dubois de Caen en Normandie France élève de Michel Chapuis et de Pierre Cochereau and I say Paul is very good organiste Inde in France oui like is music Philippe Dubois
In my MUCH younger years, this is a piece that I also performed on the pipe organ. But never as well as you do. You are adding much joy to my advancing years. Many thanks! Andre
I think due to the relative simplicity of these alleged Bach/probably Krebs pieces and as such considered "organ lesson pieces" they are hard to find in the collected discography of organ performances over the ages; you have to look long and hard to find any of them. This, too, was a lesson piece for me about 40 years ago and on a good day I can still play most of the prelude section from memory, though at no where near the breakneck pace you set! I have played the prelude portion of this for a Sunday voluntary on a few occasions and this video inspires me to work it up to performance level again.
On my way home from Mass this evening, I heard you play in the car. I'm listening to it again before I go to sleep now. Your talent makes me feel comfortable.
Wow Paul ! This is the second Bach piece I learn on the organ ! From The little Preludes and Fugues ! I think my first one was in G minor ! . You certainly give this piece so much life ! Regisstration is outstanding ! Thank you Paul !
Dear Paul, congratulations on the excellent execution. I confess that you introduced me to a piece by the great Bach that I wasn't aware of. The beautiful prelude has a vaguely Vivaldian flavour, don't you think? On the other hand, this doesn't surprise me at all, since Bach was a lover of the music of the red priest. Warm greetings from Rome, and congratulations again! gabriele
The eight short P & F are something of a forgotten resource but actually contain some little gems. A great performance R brisk tempo. As ever you excel and bring sunshine into your playing and your audience.

Hi Paul, what great fun at this tempo ! Your playing is so clean and precise. A great, energetic performance. I love it. Now I must go take out my score and work on my tempo. haha
