A nice simple little tractor, they sure built them sturdy back in those days.

My grandparents had two Simplicity walk behind tractors & I have a BCS walk behind tractor. They're tough machines!

Awesome great story , great job restoring them. My grandpa had one with a hood when I was young in the early 70s.

Those were very capable and pretty heavy duty. My father had one with a bunch of different attachments.😊👍

My PaPa had one when I was a little boy in the 60’s. I think one of my Uncles got it when he passed away.

    Thanks for the video Brian.
    I remember these.
My neighbor had one years ago with the hood on it. Looked like a mini tractor.
    They were powerful.
My best to this gentleman for collecting these machines.
    Very nice tractor.
    Thanks.
    The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

I wish things like these were still made.
    1. This has the 1 bottom plow.
    2. Pretty sure a snowblower was made for it.
    3. Pretty sure you could get a mower deck for it
    4. Could add a snow plow
    .... 1 power unit ..... many implements.

I have 3 David Bradleys, and a Sears Handiman from that era. And countless other Sears tractors. You can still find them dirt cheap at auctions.

Two wheel or single axle or walk behind tractors were VERY important in post war western Europe, especially Western Germany, Belgium, France. Compared with regular tractors they were rather inexpensive to buy and operate and some could pull machines, tools that were originally horse drawn. Plus if used without trailer they turn on a dime. So they were perfect tools for those countries with relatively small acreage per farm, lots of side-hustle, small scale farming etc.
On the other hand they are harder to control and especially dangerous when walking backwards with them. Lots of people learned that the hard way before machine safety was invented.

Didn't know it came without the hood? I always thought when I saw one without a hood the motor would have blown and the replacement motor couldn't fit under the hood. Dad's had the plow, cultivators, sickle mower and the front buzz saw to cut Christmas Trees down since he raised them. I don't know if he made it but we had a lawn roller that hooked up to the back and you stood on it.

Neat. They used the hooded models in a garden nursery, years ago, by my parent’s
    place.
What size are the tires. ?
    Great video. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻

My neighbor had a couple of these for sale years ago but I didn't know anything about them so I didn't buy. I think he wanted like 50 bucks each. I guess I missed out!

Is there a email or a way to contact Matt? We have a David Bradley that we’d love to see go to someone that would enjoy it as it’s just sitting in the barn unused.
