Sinner transcends human ability, deserves his success, and is unstoppable because he has mastered what matters most: his mind and his character. This is his destiny.
@@Blue-ik8ij semantics. It is an exhibition, as I've said. But it was competitive. Everybody wanted to win. And a 6 million dollar prize. Plus, no doubt Novak would want to beat Sinner regardless of the money.
What a beautiful iconic image of sportsmanship between Sinner and Zverev, Sinner consoling Zverev and spurring him on to keep fighting. At a basic level, this means more than who won and who lost.
Sinner King of the hard courts... Bring on Rotterdam... Unbelievable to defend a Grand Slam title, not giving the opponent even a break point??? And this is the one everyone thought would challenge him because of the head to head
Sinner played clever tennis. He makes sure to make returns, Zverev unable to put the ball away with his second shot and even in rallies, Sinner was pinning Zverev’s forehand over and over again.
I think he's ready to be a coach. Zverez should get him on board and exploit the tactic and different changes that Jim can bring to the team to the table and get rid off the predictability like he said down the line instead of going cross court all the time with the approach shots. Jim will be a good coach for Zverez.
The thumbnail is cringe because top 3 of the rankings right now are the best defenders in the world. Jannik, for example, steals many many points on defence because he's able to return some extra balls back and then counterpunch
Comparisons between different eras in sports are often misguided. The most competitive period in tennis history likely occurred when players like Lendl, Becker, McEnroe, Agassi, and Sampras were all active simultaneously. While the "big three"-Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic-achieved remarkable success, their dominance came during a time when there were fewer strong rivals. Additionally, these players continued their careers five to ten years longer than the previous generation, thanks to advancements in training, nutrition, and other factors. Therefore, it is simply not accurate to claim that Sinner is playing against weak competition.
Yesterday for Jim was Zverev the favourite. I could not understand this analyse. I said, Jannik will decide it. If Jannik plays his game, Zverev has no weapon to beat him. Without Zverev‘s service, 6:2 6:2 6:2 would be the result!
In his previous two grand slam finals, Sasha must have felt that he was so close and yet couldn't push himself over. While this is hard, at least it gave him some things to work on. I think today will be more difficult to face since the gap between him and the highest level of tennis (Sinner today, but also Alcaraz and Djokovic) was rather apparent. How does he close _that_ gap? Sasha's own analysis was that while he had a better serve than Jannik (in general), Jannik was better in the remaining 4-5 key areas of the game. That's a very tall mountain to climb.
It is strange, no word was dropped about tie-break 4:4 and Sinner winning point due to net which was decisive to win the 2nd set . Good observation was about Zverev needs somebody to improve his game. Proper example is Andy Murray and Ivan Lendl....
Totally agree with Courier about Zverev's game....he lacks variety in his toolbox and lacks the confidence in his game and power when he gets into these key matches. He'd rather wait for his opponent to make an error in a baseline rally than consistently on every play but especially in those pressure points, be aggressive. And he's likely not aggressive in those pressure points because as Courier said, he does NOT have the shot selection to do so. At his age and the stage he is in his career thus far, its difficult to make changes but if he wants to actually win...Zverev must bring variety to his game or else the Sinners and Alcarazs' of the world who have developed variety will pick him off.
Sinner before 2024 is not the same Sinner since 2024. So H2Hs are not very relevant anymore, as long as Zverev does not improve his level on hard courts.
h2h doesn’t mean a thing in a pressure match especially if you can’t step up to the plate and Zverev has a lot of wins over young teenage sincaraz Sinner is a different player now and the skill difference is wider
@@nickyb12345didn’t say h2h means he will win just saying he beat the guys before the commentators making it seem like Zverev has no chance to beat Carlos and sinner this is likely due to recency bias.

I really don't think there is anything defensive to Zverev's game which is out of the average/standard. You really can't go more offensive than Zverev actually going for lines in the 1st set. He was trading fairly with a Jannik that barely makes a mistake ever. Absolutely commendable performance from Zverev and he may need to change something to beat Sinner but what he has right now is more than enough to beat everyone else and that is pretty offensive in my opinion.
Sascha had a chance in the second set and elevated his game, but couldn't sustain level of intensiy.. Sinner can play at that level for extended periods. Congrats Yannik, despite you making mens tennis a tad boring. Well done!
Not too sure who Zereve beat in his other matches to reach this final , but not surprised he has come up short Not just him , but two thirds of the other top ten players just seem overrated and have carbon cop one trick pony games - they lack variety and instincts
Nole is finished... we can put him aside... his spirit may be willing, but his flesh is decaying fast...impossible to match with those teens players...
I think at Wimbledon with the faster surface and quicker points, he still maybe has a last chance. In fact, I would not be surprised if he skipped the clay court season...
Djokovic is the favorite to win at Wimbledon. Interestingly, Nole would have had little chance of winning any titles on grass during the Edberg, Becker, and Sampras era!
@ The players you listed played service net! There is one essential element that you are missing and that is that Djokovic has the best return in history and with it he would have neutralized the game of Sampras and Becker and others like that! Don't just talk like that, use the facts
@@КалоянТодоров-с4тI did listed players who utilized serve-and-volley tactics. Nole would have had very few, if any, chances to win a Wimbledon title against them. Additionally, during that period, the court was made of real grass, resulting in the ball bouncing very low. Nowadays, however, it resembles clay. This change is also why Nadal has won Wimbledon twice in recent years, but he would not have won a single title on grass in the past. Whether you accept this or not...
People often misinterpreted djokovic’s game style tagging him as too defensive but you can’t win 24 slams if you don’t have good offensive skills. Numbers speak louder
Jim Courier contradicting himself…on one hand defense doesn’t win championships then references Djokovic. Look at some of the top players and their ability to defend: Seles; Serena; Djokovic, Coco Gauff; Rafa; Graph; Henin; Alcaraz and Sinner. I disagree with Courier..offense wins games and defense wins championships or titles, IMO.
Sinner wasn't even playing at his highest level and far away from unbeatable however Zverev choked again as he always does in Grand Slam Finals. He made far too many unforced errors and his backhand was a complete letdown. He played the worst level in the final except his serve and It also seemed that he lacked confidence. After he lost the tiebreak with 2 unfortunate consecutive points against him, one netzroller for Sinner and one shot from Sinner that barely touched the line it went all downhill and Sinner gained more confidence. Unless Zverev gets a new trainer or mental coach he will never win a Grand Slam. I think he could greatly benefit from working with Boris Becker, especially in the mental department and to improve his volleys!
Well, people who disrespected Novak will find out that they will miss his level of tennis because it looks like Sinner will dominate too much in this new generation of tennis players. The big 3 had given so much life to tennis never seen before but without them, the younger top 10 are not much of a threat to Sinner now. Maybe the future of tennis matches may become boring like when the Williams sisters kept winning and dominating the other female players. And I just mentioned the big 3 because the young generation today know them compared to past tennis greats. There was a variety of winners before the big 3 and during the big 3. Now, I can almost predict a Sinner win whenever he is around, sorry to say. Alcaraz is not that stable yet, in my opinion. But I hope I am proven wrong and there will be more tennis players who can challenge Sinner and eventually win the title. And please, extreme fanboys/girls, I respect and like all tennis greats, past and present. I am not putting down your favorites but it is what it is.
Have you seen Alcaraz vs Sinner matches? They're definitely as good as the big 3 match ups. Only a matter of time before they play a GS final. Pretty sure Fonesca will join them in a couple of years too with the weapons he has.
Ridiculous, Borg, McEnroe, Connors, Sampras, Agassi, Lendl, Becker, Tennis also has great talents, personalities, and rivalries. Small minds always think their era is always the best
