ABOUT ME
I’m 32 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 850 breeding ewes.
I shore over 19,000 sheep this season in the UK and have my own shearing run which lets you see many different farms in the summer months.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on RUclips and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.
What a wally! Wait till you take your kid to school on a non-pupil day! 🤣 Great preview tour. Wish Dundee wasn't 400+ miles away. 😔
Welcome to the homeland Cammy I am on the organising committee and so looking forward to seeing everybody at Robert and Hazel’s. They will be fantastic hosts.
Cheers David! Will be a great event!!
What a beautiful farm. If everything's up for sale, I'll take four black cheviots, a vet student, a vet student's bike...
🤣🤣
Hahaha. 🤣😂🤣
…and one Allistair?
Considering the ferry mixup a couple months ago, I was easily fooled into believing you really went to Scotch Sheep a month early! That was very entertaining. What a beautiful farm.
Better to be a month early rather than a day late! What a great interview you got!
Absolutely hilarious 😂 I loved every minute of it Cammy!! Especially the end… “Oops…Places! Places everybody!” 🤣
🤣 i should keep the camera rolling all the time 😁
Hazel and Tom, you have a stunning farm! Good luck getting the place ready. Cheers from Pennsylvania!
Cammy, nice video.
Gidday Cammy
Lucky Hazle was trying out her cordless microphone a month early when you arrived! Thanks for another great video, very interesting.
🤣🤣 well spotted
I love Hazel, she's great! A wonderful farm wife and mom, raising those beautiful black Cheviots (want), and full ready to auction off the grown boys (she'll give a discount!), lol.
Overall, what a lovely farm they're holding this event at, can't wait to see your footage from it in June, Cammy!
Yes. The auction day will be Awesome. Will Lizzy come too?
(Cammy when you were a lad in school were you in drama class? I’m kinda betting you had to be 😆)
So Cammy comes through again as promised with a behind the scenes look at an amazing farm and such an interesting and informative chat with the farmers. As always I loved everything about this vlog. Excellent work Cammy.
Oh Cammy I so needed that laugh at the end!! 😂🤣. What good sports they all were with you!!
I'm deed with the ending 😂😂😂 absolutely buckled, Cammy speilberg
Spielberg- that’s funny.
A pleasant mistake, indeed. Turned out well. Enjoyed the early look. Next month when you video there should be so much going on it'll be harder to see these structures for what they are.
Really nice people, and a lovely place.
God bless you Cammie and. Thank you for posting.
Absolute beautiful farm, great fields and new barns, a perfect place for the event.
Thanks Cammy, that was fun! Loved it all and I think along with many others that you need some black Cheviots. ( my spelling is probably off but you get it). Great blog!❤
What a lovely farm and family. Beautiful. Thanks for the video Cammy. Take care.
Well, you turned a catastrophe into a fantastic advert for sheep scene. It was a great BTS , and the hosts, Hazel and Robert ( plus kids and bachelor's!) were very accommodating and well trained to laugh at the Cammy jokes!!😂😂😂 Think it's only fair Cammy for you to offer your services to help with power washing!!😂
Cammy your so awesome! 1 month early but still makes it work.
I figured it out when I noticed you went without a trailer. Why go to a sheep sale without a way to bring them home. Hilarious and a lovely tour with lovely hosts. Cammy, you entertain and educate with personality and humor. Thanks for all you do.
Lol, been there done that🤪I think you planned it you little manipulator🤫
Hi Cammy, what great hosts the McNee's were. Next month is going to be so exciting. Alot happening at the farm. Thanks for showing us the beautiful farm. I hope you can film alot of the activities next month. I wish I lived there!
I miss living on the farm. It was hard, but off time we had a blast.
Take care and stay safe till next time. Please tell the family Hi. ❤❤❤
What an amazing farm. Love the bantering too! Now looking forward to the actual event video. ❤️🇦🇺🏴
The outtake that was hilarious! I'm looking forward to the Sheep Show video. It was a pleasure to see the farm before all the people and busyness of the show next month.
Aye same , my dream jobs a farmer aswell, Need some Tips, so you showed up a Month early i hear🤣🤣 Are You shearing In any Places Near Eyemouth in The scottish Boarders? Would Like To see you? Even if it was Just A Beep from you in the car?! 🤣🤣
Always better to be early rather then late Cammie...lol Just not sure they are going to want you hanging around till the 1st of June...😉
It happens to everybody eventually. I went with my husband to a wedding. We were a week early. That was bad enough, worse, we bumped into the couple getting married. They were at the venue taking care of last minute details. I arrived the following week with the same outfit on.
Cammy, Cammy, Cammy as we say down south you e-jit 🤣😂🤣. Great vlog though really enjoyed looking at this farm. We'll see you 1st June the Cammy ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful farm! The livestock is so well cared for and in lovely condition. Thank you Hazel and Robert for the tour and thanks to you Cammy, for taking the drive over a month early to give everyone a head's up for what's to come at the show. I need to host a fencing competition at my place, what a great way to get wire up. So much work ahead to get ready for the event, it must be daunting.
Fantastic Cammy, and a great promotion for the farm for the 1st of June. 👏
Hazel and Tom have an amazing farm and super livestock it's a real credit to them thanks Cammy for sharing really enjoyed it 👍
What a fabulous farm!
So many beautiful animals.
Great video Cammy. I, for one, am glad you got the date wrong so we could have this wonderful tour with you. 😁❤️👍👍❤️
Cammy....you were made for television!!! Too funny! Stunningly beautiful farm.
Was a wonderful video! Hazel and Robert were wonderful hosts. No wonder it's being held at their farm. Always smiling, laughing and having a good time is wonderful to see smiles and hear laughter 😃 in this world today. Love the mcnees and you!
Yeah it’s sure to be good fun with them in charge 😁
You guys brought up a good point about the improvements done to the grass. I've been wondering if you do anything like that to the pastures where you have your sheep grazing. I've been watching Tom Pemberton lament about the rising price of fertilizer and was wondering if you are feeling the pinch as well? It would be interesting to see that in the video. I know you don't run a tractor to cut the grass into hay, but I was wondering if you do anything to break down the manure that's already on the land
Hi Stacey, good question. I don’t use any fertiliser but quite a lot of the ground I rent gets dung and then chain harrowed. Because I already pay a lot for rent it’s hard to find the money to then spend more improving the pastures which I could be told to take my sheep out at any time.
@@TheSheepGame harrowing, that's what I was trying to remember.
Do you ever get the soil tested or anything like that?
Thank you for turning up early - I pass this farm every day on my bus to work and the sheep and cattle are like 'friends'. It was lovely to see a tour like this. It all looked awesome for the show last week and I am happy to see the stock back in the car park now.
Lovely, enjoyable video Cammy.. As always! Thank You
This was fabulous! I am in love with the Black Cheviots! Beautiful farm and reading up on the bulls they've bred and breeds they've improved is admirable. Thanks for putting this together. I hope you film the show. I'd love to see the pairs sale to benefit research for pancreatic cancer.
You've just made my partner feel so much better. They were only out by 12 hours thinking it was pm not am, but it was too late rather than too early.....
And you still have the event to look forward to Cammy
Cam, can u please explain what is a hog, and what is a gimmer?
CAMMMMY , Scotch sheep? Looks like a good video 🎉 🎈, as always🤣
Wow amazing love you cammy my dream job is a farmer can u give me some tips
A GREAT video, Cammy, loads of fun! Wish I was going to be in Scotland in June, Scotsheep sounds like a fabulous event. Robert and Hazel have a wonderful setup, this could be you and Lizzie in the future! Bet you’d love a barn like that! 👍
Another brilliant video Cammie. The tour was really nice. Hazel is hilarious just like you. The land looks so luscious I could eat it myself.
I miss seeing your daily vlogs, but I am thinking that you might be getting more sleep instead of so often nodding off on the couch late at night (I'll bet Lizzy approves as well)
Such an exhausting life you have, mate. You show amazing energy for all that daily slogging about. Good on you! 🙏🏼
Cammie I've known people to be an hour or day early, but not a month early. 😂😂
What am I like?😝
Getting lost in time happened to me often at work. I'd go in on my day off, not go in when scheduled (which annoyed my manager to no end!). Even tho I'm now retired, I still lose track of when I am!
What a gorgeous part of the world to raise healthy livestock. Cammie, I really enjoy your channel as it is. ❤️🇨🇦
Oh wow. How kind the farmer is. And you Cammy with that laugh and twinkle in ye eye who can resist.
I love how you interact with kids on your chanell.
Movie level plot twist at the end! Oh my God, Cammy. You’ve broken my heart, mate
OH MY GOD THE CONTINUITY AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BRILLIANT
Oh, my, god… !!!
I don’t know anything about farming, literally anything. But I do watch you, Sandi Brock, and The Hoof GP. That said!! Those were some of the BEST animals I’ve ever seen! Those sheep were THICC!! And their lambs were, like, bodybuilding bulldogs! (Did you see the lamb in the back’s booty??!) The condition alone is insane! Then, as if on cue, both lambs starting CHUGGING bags of milk; and moms just stood there and let them with looks in their eyes that said, “Yeah, that’s right, we’re better mothers than you.” And those cows!! The pens were spotless! And every animal was not only clean, but looked like they just had a spa day! And DUDE! That bull is so sexy…I’d think about it myself! 😂
If I were a farm animal, THIS is the place I wanna live! These animals are livestock’s 1%. Last time I saw animals that pretty, it was a triple-crown winning, 2-year old mare selling for $1mil at auction (and she 💩 the floor mid sale) ..it was an intimidation move tbh.
Like, did you tell them you were coming? Or does this farm just look that stunningly gorgeous on a random Sunday?? What an incredible place!
Vodka? Around here anyone making spirits out of potatoes are making potchine but that’s illegal so some of them say they’re making vodka
What a beautiful farm!
This popped up tonight I thought you had got the wrong day your baby daughter was due 😂
Omg Cammy that must be a first you’ve been early for anything 😂😂
You monkey you got me , I’ll never believe you again 😂😂😂😂😂
Hazel is quite the matchmaker. Would you please let her know I’m single and available? I want/need a man a wee bit older…say 50-65. 🇨🇦
🤣🤣🤣 if it was going to happen to anyone it had to be Cammy 😃
Lost it at “Alan Dundee, Well Bred and Kept for Stock” 🤣
🤣🤣
The rams you just showed would make any top Bull hide in shame. Bulls (balls) don't look like those rams (balls) on this video!!! LOL
Summer is a cumin in! Happy Beltane!
When you show up unexpected and the farm owner already has a mic on, that’s a good day!
They have some funny looking Sheep on that farm 🐃🐄🐂
Beautiful Farm and people that you introduced us to Cammy !
Did you end up filming at the actual ScotSheep Event? If so, where is it posted, please?
Robert McNee, Breeds Good Stock😄👍
That's like our county fair's! Our county fair's are when everyone shows the animals they've raised . For the kids they get an animal to raise f2f or a org called 4h and they raise this animal then take it to the fair . They and the animal get judged ribbons are won. Trophies are handed out. Prizes are won kids are happy some are sad. They also judged food. Farm food . Quilts art. Ceramics. Tractors horse riding and horses. And a few other things.
Those black Cheviot are 🔥!
What did the cow say to the other cow? I’m Frisian lend me your Jersey
Hill farmer from Yorkshire .I love your videos the best ones on you tube absolutely fantastic
Great preview (accidental)! You’re gonna have huge crowds now. I’d come myself if it wasn’t too far to hurl my wheelchair. I look forward to the proper broadcast.
Those black sheep are beautiful!
I think the lapel mic was a bit of a give away.
Nice tour.
What a beautiful facility ... the sheep look incredible
Pmsl cammie only you would turn up a month early without checking the date
Very attractive sheep there at this month early event.😜🤪👍 Nice green grass as well. Very large place, of course. And cows as well. I’ll just enjoy watching.
Thought you forgot us . 😉 I usually catch up on the Sheep Game every morning with my morning coffee and oatmeal. I figured that you were off doing some shearing now or scanning somewhere. Allie from East Coast Canada...
Wonder if they know the Hoof GP.
Beautiful countryside.
Real treat you shared.
Love 💕 the black cheviots!
Guess it helps to have your face known eay.
I used to live in Cupar in Fife. It's like a trip back to the old days.
Missed the boat, missed the show, not got a diary ?
Flicked to the wrong month 😁
What a great video
Well, I had a nap after work yesterday and almost went back to work thinking it was the next day !!
Brilliant video cammy! Hilarious outtakes and the date mixup 😂
Love how you keep it real.
Never change mate!
What a beautiful farm! Such lovely people. Looking forward to your coverage of the event.
Cammy you are so funny. This farm is beautiful! It sounds like it will be a great event. I enjoyed the tour and humor!
Oh Cammie, Cammie! Good look around though! 🐨
Another brilliant video cammy
Y'all are good actors... genuinely believed you made a mistake until I realized that Hazel was wearing a mic when you came in (which I only really noticed when I saw her wearing it later in the video)
😁😁 well spotted! I did think it was an obvious setup but i’m worried people think I was trying to dupe them 😅
Sheep shows. Man, that was every summer during my childhood.
Brilliant vlog!!!!! & what a wonderful family & farm. Hazel rocks…. what a woman!!!! Can’t wait for your footage of the show in June. Would love to see you add some black cheviots to your flock Cammy!! What were they crossed with to give them the black colour?? Are they just as wild in temperament as the standard white ones that you have??
Cammie, beautiful farm but so much to do to prepare for the show in a month! Thank you for the tour Hazel and Tom, I look forward to seeing Cammie’s video of the festivities in June.
Every time I check how many subscribers you have, the number has grown by 2000!! WAY TO GO!! You're motoring along now, Cam. Keep up the good work! 100,000 by year end!!
I can't help but smile when I watch your videos! 😊😁
Some farmers can't hide money....
New fence Nice gates. No twine holding them up.
No rusty bangers.
Hundreds of acres of good grazing.
Hard work and skill in getting a living out of livestock. Easier profit on arable in past but tricky now with fertiliser bills.
I will go to the sale ...if is 1 June. I will double check. It isn't far from me. Hopefully there will be plenty cakes. I need a good scran on a day oot.
I am so fascinated by the beautiful country and the different types of sheep I would love to have some of them
cammi you are like a tourist guide
Too funny!
I thoroughly enjoyed this vid!!!🦌💌❤️🐑
Well now, I’m guessing you’ll have to follow this up with a day at ScotsSheep2022. Can’t wait to see the sheds spic’n’span and the black cheviots auctioned off for a good cause. If the weather is good, make sure to pitch the vodka too 😁
What is the difference in the two different bfl
LOVE !!! the black cheviots! Where can we get that wool (for hand spinning)??? ;-)
Haha wish I understood more of what was said but made me smile anyway. I invited my mom to the Icecapdes (a skating show) for a treat. Husband and the children and mom drove 100 miles to find out we were a week early. Had to do it all over the next week. Got to go to the big city twice.
🤣 great Story
Ram 🐏🐏🐏 that 👍👍👍 !
❤🇨🇦😊
Good preview cammy. 🚜🐏🐏🐏🐑🐂
I believe in being early but a whole month?!! Lol The sheep with the black heads, legs and brown wool are so pretty!! First time seeing those kind!
