- I was diagnosed with breast cancer very recently at Waterford hospital and this video is about my journey to get diagnosed. If you have triple-negative breast cancer or are a triple-negative breast cancer survivor, I would be very interested in connecting with you. I am going to fight this and recover fast. I intend on it.
If you are worried that you may have abnormalities if your own breasts, please do get yourself checked asap. I am not trying to worry anyone, it is best to be safe and catch cancer early. x

I have the same triple negative cancer stage 2 and under my arm nodes. You will be fine. We will have to go thru a bunch of crap but will be just fine. Try with everything you have only speak and think positive. Especially when you go through chemo. Tell yourself that this isn’t that bad and it won’t be that bad. Surround yourself with positive loving people. Without getting really religious with you… this has really tested my trust with God. But now that he is the one in control not you. And God wants good things for you if this is what you want. Trust in him. If this helps I call myself with RUclips healing meditation on my iPad next to my pillow. You are amazing and so so brave to be spreading awareness. It’s crazy that they refuse to do mammograms for women under 40 when it’s so common in younger women. People will find relief and inspiration form your journey. Prayers are with you. It will give you a new chapter in life that will also help others. Your awesome ❤️❤️❤️
I feel that this is both a curse and a blessing...It will put me on a path to be a stronger woman. So important for self checks and to go to a GP is there is any worry. x

Hello there, I am too a triple neg girl. It is a scary diagnosis, but it's not hopeless by far! I am living proof there is life during and after cancer . But for right now it is just so darn scary and sad. I'' be watching your progress and praying for you as well.

I am 32 years old . I have 2 little kids. I am battling stage 3 triple negative Brest cancer . I am so scared too. But I am keeping hope its so difficult I feel like I will die so soon living my kids alone please god be with us
No. don't think that way. i had TNBC. Stage 3b. my tumour was 7.5cm ... did 6 months of chemo to shrink the tumour then surgery full mastectomy. they found 16 lymph nodes. no cancer in any nodes. ... then i had 5 weeks of radiation. i was 50 yrs old when i was diagnosed. i will be 63-yrs old my next birthday in August! Please. Don't worry. TNBC responds beautifully to chemo. it wipes it out. take good care. xo

So sorry to hear this Klara, hope it is sorted in the fastest possible time. It’s an awful thing to be told, but I’m sure you’ve googled that things are much more advanced in treatment terms & so the prognosis is so much better than most are often aware.
I had a small sense of what it must be like in my 30’s when I found a small lump, but I was fortunate in that it was just a cyst, like your mum
You’re the second woman I’ve known in the last month that’s had this diagnosis (the other lady has it on her ovaries) sadly. And you’re absolutely spot on that we need to always be giving ourselves the once over (we do that with cars & yet we ignore our own bodies!)

Idk why I giggled when you started talking about your feet 😂 but I wish you the absolute best with your treatment and journey. You’re amazing!
My wife has TNBC, telling you what she has gone through so far I find would be unhelpful. Some people take chemo and it completely goes away and some people it will not work on. I would say if we could go back in time when they found it we would have her do radiation as the very first step and then the mastectomy. TNBC grows extremely fast, I'd recommend when a doctor sets up an appointment that's seemingly a while away ask for an earlier one. I can have her speak to you if you want.
11474403a yes very true no delay from treatments is important. Sorry to hear your wife’s battle hopefully she is ok now. I had stage 1 TNBC nov 2017. I did chemo mastectomy but no radiation. I wish now I had also done this it wasn’t on offer unless I had a lumpectomy. Cheers Annie
@@davidpsaila7105 I'm glad to hear you're doing okay. She's currently stage 4 were in hospital now as she's preparing to get fluid removed. She's on the exelis cabozantinib and atezolizumab trial right now. She is an extreme rarity when it comes to tnbc so please don't let this scare you it probably won't happen to you. Do look into the vaccine for tnbc to keep you in remission. I can't remember the name right now.
11474403a I’m again sorry to hear it has progressed does your wife know the subtype? We don’t have any vaccines on offer in Australia or many trials. That’s why I keep on RUclips to stay informed of any new things. I follow “the cancer guy” he is a geneticist who specialises in new treatments” worth checking out to compliment the current regime. @@KlaraMcDonnell I'm sorry to report back my wife of 6 years partner of ten passed away on 12/21/19. The cancer had spread to her lungs and and virtually exhausted her body and it's ability to produce oxygen naturally. She underwent about 3 separate treatments to no avail but the cabozantinib and atezolizumab did ultimately stop the progression but it took weeks of time she did not have to completely heal her. She was a one in a million case, her main oncologist had been practicing for 50 plus years and had never seen such a resistant strain of TNBC. Everyone we had consulted with was utterly flabbergasted at how it kept spreading and resisting all medications. She fought the long hard fight and wanted me to help any woman in need fighting this god awful subtype of breast cancer. I'm no medical doctor but can probably tell you anything and everything you could ever want to know about TNBC so anyone fighting this god awful disease who needs that extra support I would love to answer your questions, give tips and tricks, or let you know things that we tried that maybe aren't mainstream or traditional methods in treating TNBC. Also id be glad to relay information to any family members of the person fighting cancer. I know it would have helped tremendously to talk to someone who wasn't as cold as a doctor can sometimes be .

Hi so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I had stage 1 tnbc nov 2017 51 years I had A/c and taxol chemo and nipple sparring double mastectomy immediate reconstruction. It’s a tough journey but it’s doable. Unfortunately with genetic cancer there really is no way around the chemo as hormonal breast cancer now has specific gene panel tests to determine if chemo is required. I needed to see a comment like this :) I didn't want to do a video saying exactly what I had at first as it does sound serious, seeing as it's an aggressive cancer. My mother advised me to as I wanted to connect with women like yourself. I have felt very alone in a way during the last few days, though I did have kind messages from friends, family, people I hadn't seen in years....I wanted to find women in the same position as myself or who had been through it all. I found a great facebook group last night called Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation. I will check out Nikki's videos :) Thank you x
Hi again I felt the same i wanted to find support but I never found too many in my exact situation you soon learn way too much about breast cancer there are many different types the treatments very considerably. Even within triple neg there are many subtypes. I highly recommend viewing RUclips “the cancer guy” he is a geneticist who specialises in cancer treatments and runs a screening company. He recently released a video on the lastest tnbc treatments which explains really well how our cancer is so different to treat. There is a lot of new stuff going in research and it gives a lot of hope moving forward. I found doing yoga and meditation very useful it can become very overwhelming. Don’t delay treatments for any reason it appears to make all the difference which may be a big deal if you are considering egg harvesting. Cheers Annie x

I was diagnosed stage 2A TNBC in March 2019. It is very scary there's no doubt. Keep your chin up honey. Do your research. Insist on getting copies of test results and Google everything! Be your own best advocate!
I've had bi-weekly AC then Taxol...a double mastectomy, 30 radiation treatments and now on Xeloda. No node involvement..no mets but it's TNBC...

So glad to hear that you are doing well. I was told a few weeks back I am at some stage of stage 2. I will be starting chemo soon. I get my markets in on the 6th Jan. My mum's just been diagnosed with triple negative, at 59... her sister had breast cancer in her mid 40s...
My mum qualifies for a genetic test now...
I'm 29 and freaking out about this :/
Especially since there seems to be almost nothing you can do to prevent it...it seems so out of your control.

Mam pls help my mom stage 2 grade 3 treatment is about to get over but tnbc scared me a lot.
Don't let it scare you. i had Stage 3B triple negative breast cancer. almost 13 years ago when i was 50. my tumour was huge. 7.5cm.
