I found putting a little Grease like SuperLube, Brake Caliper Grease or anything that won't EAT O-RINGS on the O-ring to the I.A.C. helps it SMOOTHLY go back in. Also make sure you get the I.A.C. pintle housing very clean inside, especially where it meets the chamfer. Ya taking the I.A.C. housing off is a risk if you don't have that gasket, TOTALLY AGREE. GOOD JOB AT LEAST YOU TOOK THE T.B. OFF TO CLEAN, MOST DON'T.
So I’ve been having a problem with my jeep. I’ll be driving then the rpms will drop then catch back up and the jeep backfires. I’m thinking either crank position sensor or cam position sensor. Do you think that’s right? Thanks! Your videos have done me more help than just about anything. Keep it up!
Love your vids but i need help. Ive LOOKED everywhere and nothing.i have a 2.5 yj and I'm getting a code 23 ive already relocated it and cleared it and still having it pop up. Ive bought 3 replacements and nothing. Next step ill rebuild the PCM please help
Have a dumb question. I have a new throttle body for 98 TJ 4.0L but the throttle cable knurl is smaller than whats on the Jeep now, which is a larger size. How do you remove the knurl from the throttle body arm??? Don't want to use a press until I known the proper procedure??
Hi Dale, @JeepSolid I have a question. Why the idle on my 94 YJ stays on 1300 RPM if I already did a complete tune-up, replaced the MAP, IAC, TPS, PCV and grommet. Thank you!!!
I have a 1998 dodge Dakota base model 4 cylinder 5 speed trans replace all sensors on intake and throttle body new fuel regulator my truck has a rough idle auto zone says my ignition switch is bad but I can still drive it started and unlock my steering wheel idk what to do it’s a jeep motor and trans ?????😞
Hi great videos,I have a 2007 jeep Cherokee, red lighting bolt flickers, then go away . So frustrating,no fault is being picked up from the diagnostic test any ideas guyz.
Great video! I recently did a full throttle body removal, cleaning, and installation on my channel if you want to see it. This really is a great way to level out the idle and help the engine run smooth.
2021 Jeep Cherokee wouldn’t start..wouldn’t even try to turn over. Hooked up my reader and got code P2111…cleaned my throttle body and still same issue. Any suggestions?? Maybe the sensor in throttle body? Would this stop my jeep from starting or even trying to turn over? Almost seems like dead battery but not sure. Please help!
3 am and I’m wondering…what’s up with my ‘04 Gr Cherokee. Intermittently, when I put trans in neutral or park, she revs to 1500.I can feel her trying to pull me through stop signs. Any thoughts?
My '95 yj 4 cylinder has issues starting after it rains. What could possibly be getting wet that would cause that? It turns over but won't fire up. Sputters like crazy if it does start. Distributor? Perhaps you could direct me to a video of a fix?
I would say you're getting condensation inside you're Dist. Cap. Whens the last time you did an ignition tune up ? Like Dist. Cap, wires, plugs, rotor & possibly the coil ?
@@upthecreekyt YA, You're getting condensation somewhere in the ignition system. Try these 2 things, Fire it up with the hood open in a VERY VERY DARK PLACE & LOOK FOR TINY SPARKS ESCAPING ALONG THE SPARK PLUG WIRES, AROUND THE DIST. & COIL. Also you can get a spray bottle while it's running ( ANY TIME ) & spray the wires & stuff down with some water too see if it start's to miss or not. GOOD LUCK SIR.
Mine is a 4.0 but i had a similar issue i got a new coil and never had the problem since. Not saying thats what u need but they are cheap enough to maybe give it a try!
@@jmac5023 That's why I said about spraying the ignition system down with a spray bottle of water. Or looking at the engine in the dark for spark jumping. He's having problems when it's wet outside, personally I would do a total ignition system tune up if not done in years or many miles.
Shut my eyes for a moment and I could have sworn I was listening to kermit. Great video 👍😉
Wow, that’s pretty cool.
The shiniest part under the hood. Thanks for the knowledge.
That is a much better place to keep a shovel than where I've been keeping mine just sitting on the back seat

I cleaned the throttle body on my 2000 wj 2 days ago and I immediately went from 13.6 liters per 100kms down to 11.9 liters per 100kms
...did yours have a lot of gunk build up?
California smog issues on YJ's? ( '94 -4.0 original owner) Mechanic's & Smog shop can't figure it out. Hint's, tips, advice? Your content is awesome!

Do you have any advice as to what could cause a sputter/hesitation when I pull out in first gear at low RPM’s?
I have a 94 YJ, 2.5L
so wait......u just cleaned the 2 sensors.....0 need to replace?.....correct?..OR NO.....ty......awesomne video......looks BRAND NEW...WOW...I subbed!
Now that you have a shiny part on the engine you have to keep going! lol
Don't you have to readjust the TPS value voltage since you took it out?

Sometimes it's as simple as the PCV valve. A $7 part clogging your motor.

What is a possible problem when I'm pushing oil . I want to keep my yj Vin matching

Replaced all sensors, the computer caps still uncontrolled(hi/low) idling after engine start for 2-3min. 1992 yj 4.0…
did you have a fix for this? my YJ is now idling high and won't calm down.
Any tips on replacing the hose for the PCV valve? It was missing when I bought mine.

Press wiring into connection socket tight. Ran into this with my jeep jk
How come it doesnt have the MAP sensor on it?
Is there such a thing as a Nutter Bypass on a 1989 - YJ - 4.2 with an HEI ignition?
Great video! I recently did a full throttle body removal, cleaning, and installation on my channel if you want to see it. This really is a great way to level out the idle and help the engine run smooth.
Does the 4.0 space help any, or wort the money on the 2.5
4.0> anything else.
What rims do you have on your jeep
If you have a throttle body spacer will the gasket still be in the same place?
Yes
Boy, I seem to have a number of videos to watch! Somehow I got way behind on watching!!

Throttle body wouldn’t stop it from turning over, you have another issue

could be quite a few things. MAP, Vacuum leak, PCM, TPS. Just have to start testing things

@@NoWr2Run It's been a while. So you think the distributor is probably the main source of the issue?
