This shows how if u have a big name u get big scores. So many of the divers ranked 6-12 didn’t get the scores they deserved bc they don’t have a name for themselves. Diving has always been like this :(
Simply not true. I've been following diving for nearly 40 years and this is one of the most accurately judged diving events I have ever seen. What you will notice in competitions like this is how much higher the 'better' divers are completing their movements and are judged as such. Very interested to know which dives you though were underscored?
That is how it is people who are more well known usually score better this is seen a lot in highschool competitions and usually less at the higher levels and it’s pretty rare to see in the olympics
