    Attractive bike! The drone shot of you riding looked particularly great. I'm still in awe of your having that great bike trail right in front of your home.

      Thanks Ross. The “drone” shot was actually my wife riding up on the road shooting me riding down on the path. I am pretty lucky, first to have her and second to live in an area with a load of bike paths. We talk about it all the time in terms of moving when we retire. Wherever we end up it will need to have a lot of bike paths!
      Thanks for watching!

    Great Video, I got the same bike, I got on back order when they first came out. I was going to get the Cruiser, but they had the Zebra and with all the upgrade I had to get it. It was on sale then, so it was only $250.00 more that the Zebra Step-thru. I still love hearing about all it good points! It's been a great bike and even Himiway was good to work with when I had a problem. I have all the upgrades on mine plus close to 5000 miles on it. I even put a dual battery set up on the bike that works great and the range is unbelievable. I never have to worry about running out of battery. I put a Kinekt set post on it and a seat post lock so someone can't just walk off with it. I just got a new folding lock too. it is a FoldyLock Forever Folding Bike Lock and has a 18 out of 18 rating Gold Standard, they claim the pins can't be sheered like the other folding lock and there is a RUclips video. I alway like your videos and now I will get to see you fix up the same bike as mine! "COOL"😎

      Hi.
      As I'm very probably about to buy a Zebra here in the UK, I'm very interested in your dual battery set up. Is it wired into the existing battery, thus giving you a 1920Wh system?
      A much extended range from the standard range would be great for me.
      And are you still liking your Zebra after all this time? Has it been reliable?
      Thank you 🚲👍

    Why don't you get something like the CXWXC adjustable bike stem. They are able to go as high as 145 mm and you can tilt it to what ever angle you need. And also you could mount it "back-wards" if the bike cabling is long enough.

    • @TinkeringTurtle
      @TinkeringTurtle  Год назад

      That is exactly what I plan on doing. The adjustable stem works ok, but a n additional riser give a guy my height the ability to sit upright while riding. I have also used the Fomtor stem as well that works good too.
      Thanks for the suggestion!

      That was My thought too. I got the tall 90 degree adj. stem and don't nee another extension.

    I noticed they don't have thumb throttle kits on their page. I used the link on your post for the cruiser for my cobra and the thumb throttle didnt work. I did have to get an extender cable from amazon as the gender on the throttle was opposite.

    Nice video mate, do you know how much it cost to charge the battery mate. Thanks Don

      I don't, sorry. I suppose it would depend on what your local electric company charges and what time of the day you charge. My guess would be under a $1.50 per charge. I doubt it would be more than $5.
      But I have never done the math to prove it. Sorry I couldn’t be more definitive.

    I have a very new Zebra also. You don't think that gradual take off is because of the torque sensor ? The older Zebras had a cadence sensor but I found three different info places that said the Zebra now has a torque sensor. I googled it and it says in bold letters Torque Sensor on the Himiway Zebra.

    • @TinkeringTurtle
      @TinkeringTurtle  Год назад +1

      I don’t think the Zebra has a torque sensor. I found this on the Himiway website.
      himiwaybike.com/blogs/e-bike-info/speed-sensor
      I think this is the “sp” setting. I will test it out and do a future video showing the adjustment.

    • @DYNABIKE1
      @DYNABIKE1 Год назад

      @@TinkeringTurtle I don't know why this torque sensor thing is such a mystery. I googled " Does the Himiway Zebra have a torque sensor ? " and it came back saying the New Zebras have a Torque sensor. I have been talking to another guy on Himiway Owners group and He sent Me a screen shot from His phone saying Yes they now have a torque sensor. It sure acts different then the Cruiser I have ridden 5,000 miles.

    Looks like the forks are the same as the Cruisers and Step-Thru's. That's too bad!
    I have 2 Step-thru's and one of the forks is loose between the upper and lower halves and Himiway won't replace them. The looseness causes front end shuddering when braking.
    They think that by sending me a new fork cover will remedy this.
    I'm afraid the forks will fail, dumping me from the bike.
    Hopefully Himiway watches your videos and they address this!
    I'll get off my soapbox and say that your videos are great!
