You'd get a kick out of going as an observer on a sport skydiving load or two... once you find a local 'drop zone', call ahead and ask if they take observers; not all DZ's do anymore. Better still, do a tandem jump! You might even get hooked!
Not really. It is very different flying in the airplane version of a convertible, though. The pilot restored and maintains this aircraft himself. He wants to go back home to his family everyday like the rest of us, so I figured if he will go up in it, so would I. Also, if you get back to the area, look up. This plane stays busy on these short sightseeing trips, and is a common sight in the skies over Sevier County, Tennessee.
