  • Hello again! I wanted to try something different this time around and take a shot at the rock genre. Back when I first really started listening to Vocaloid music a lot of those songs were rock, so it's partially a callback to that time before I even thought about the idea of making songs with Synth V.
I initially had another song lined up before this one that I'm actually almost done with (it's really just the video and animations that are taking quite a bit of time), but this tune got to my brain and I was struck with inspiration. I deviated a bit from how I usually approach lyrics, where they sort of happen or I jot them out and then refine them as I continue making the song or I find a 'catchier' way to phrase something or convey the narrative. But I actually wrote most the song the same night I came up with the tune and jotted them down while I was walking, then a couple days later I finished the remainder of the lyrics using the usual method.
It would be neat to do a more in-depth music video in the future, but what I have planned is a bit out of my current skill level, so that could be extra encouragement to keep improving at making videos! I also enjoyed giving this video the fall atmosphere. It was mostly because this specific key always sounded orange/gold to me, and also I found it fit the imagery. But also it's partially because I'm very excited for fall, especially Halloween (which is my favorite holiday!!).
Thank you so much for listening to my music, I sincerely appreciate it! Have a great day and I wish you well!

this is definitely quite different from your previous stuff but it still has a sound very unique to you while also capturing the nostalgic sound of old vocarock, i love it so much. that dip in the instrumental towards the end while she screams "but i'll take it" is so classic. wonderful work

Oh man this is such a great song!!! The music has that full frequency feeling I love, and the lyrics feel so seemless - your rhyming is really natural and has that rare quality of not feeling forced. Gonna enjoy this one as a permanent addition to my favs playlist!!!

Thank you very much! I'm glad to hear that about the flow of the lyrics, typically I write instrumental pieces and lyrics were always a bit of a challenge, especially way back in the day when I first started digital music production. So I really appreciate this, and I'll keep practicing and striving for improvement too!

well alot Japanese vocaloid songs are in rock. For western producers their hardly any. To be honest I do not think many people like punk rock in the west. It one easiest but demanding that it has high bpm.
